    Great Northern Quilt Show

I just found this information for the Great Northern Quilt Show in Yorkshire

This is my favourite show and the first one I went to donkeys years ago. It's a lot quieter than most and in a lovely setting. Have you been Rosemary

Several times, I love it, usually it is on the first Friday - Sunday after the kids go back to school, so before I got the job of midday bouncer at school I would go on the Friday as a treat for myself for surviving 6 weeks of the school hols  Last year I managed to leave the other 2 at home and went on the Sat. again as a wonderful treat for myself, ended up having a pleasant natter with Jenny Rayment & Ferret too.

Not met Ferret but love her work. I search it out at FOQ.

Jenny Rayment is a very funny lady, I've heard her talk a couple of times.

              'Great minds think alike....'

I had been thinking of possibly going on the Friday, I think it tends to be a bit quieter, because you are avoiding the weekend rush. Here is a thought though, perhaps we ought to give Lorchan a shout, and you could spin past & pick her up en route(or maybe not). If she doesn't need to be in school for anything pre-term starting, I know she has mentioned wanting to go, but if it is the weekend after school starts, she is too frazzeled.

Yes I'll certainly take her and schools usually go back the first week in September so we should be ok :P Hopefully she can leave the ark behind.

                      You called??!!

I should be ok for that weekend, and can combine it with seeing my goddaughter who lives near Northallerton. Please, remind me closer to the day.

I think it's the weekend before we are back in school. Several times in the past it was the first weekend after we were back and I was just too exhausted by then. But the dates falls better for me this year.

Great. At one time it was in the middle of August which was better but moved probably because of the FOQ clashing .

AAAghh - forgot Izzy, she doesn't do quilt shows now, & DH doesn't have the leave to take the Friday off. I will have to see if I can palm her off on one of her friends, or I cannot go until Sat.

Wishful thinking  It was more a case of forgetting what to do with her, when she was tidgy, I could just put her in a backpack and tote her around shows, now she is more inclined to be a 'right whinge bucket' about the mere idea of being dragged to a quilt show  Love her dearly, but not keen on everything she does (especially the whinging)
