                Congratulations Betty Ann!!!

Yes, the rumors are true. I hereby resign as the leader of the UGH Club this year! (Robin, if you really can't make it to Houston you're welcome to take over for me!) Although I won't be there for the dinner due to my kids being in school, I will be coming for the weekend to see the show and especially to see all my TQS friends! Eight of us created a fractured quilt that has been accepted into the show!

Betty Ann : congratulations - wow - fabulous quilt
Bridget : also congrats - looking forward to seeing that quilt too - sounds intriguing
Bridget & Robin : what is the UGH club? i gather that it has to do with those not being able to make it to houston... but ?
as i'll definitely not be able to make it to houston this year or any in the next 5-15 years (unless they change the date by at least a month or i change my job - the first i doubt, the second i certainly hope not unless i win the lottery), i think i'd quite possibly want to join

Thanks Lotti! You're correct. It's the Unable to Go to Houston Club. It's been in operation for a few years now. It's a fun group -- well, unless you count all the whining and pouting. Here's a link to last year's fun....

thanks bridget, just spent the last hour or so reading through the UGH 2010 posts - what fun - of course it makes me want to take the camera and post too... oh well another time... but now i better get to my ironing - if i never start i'll never be finished (at the moment i'd win the olympic event for messiest sewing area) - and i can't put the fabrics away before they're sorted - and can't sort them before they're ironed... excuses excuses excuses - and less than two weeks before august 1st which is the deadline i have set myself to get the apartment ready and capable of comfortably hosting my family visiting from canada
cheers 'n smiles to all :P

OK, maybe I need to clarify! ops: DH has been know to "help" me. You know cleaning the floor when the piece of applique you are looking for was tossed away. Organizing and never being able to find anything again...it is a really good thing he knows not to touch the scissors.
