Janet, your quilts just awe me and I am not in the least surprised by your ribbons. I have seen a couple of your other quilts in person and I just stand there with my jaw dropped. Your creativity inspires me.

I saw these in person last week and I can say, without reservation that their awards are well deserved. I loved "Red Letter Daze"-there were crystals but they weren't overwhelming; they added just the right touch. Are you going to enter it into more shows?

Thanks, Eileen! I have it entered in MQS in Overland Park, Kansas (my backyard!) and I will probably enter it in either Des Moines AQS show or Houston. I can't enter it in both this year because of the timing of the shows but whatever one I don't enter it in this year will go in next. Wish me luck!!
Oh, I forgot to add, I also have it entered in the Minnesota Quilters Show in St. Paul. I love that show and will be going to it.

Jeanie, if you will click twice on Janet's photos for a closer view, you will see that both of these have the entire alphabet! Janet is working on a series of alphabet quilts and there are a couple more amazing versions on her TQS profile! Check it out!! community/my-profile/janetstone

Thanks for the tip Margo - I just checked the others and love them! I am working on old fashioned caligraphy with some of my art students and some of those old fashioned letters would make a fabulous quilt too ----hmm....another idea for the files...
                        cheers
