    finding shops while cruising

I'm heading for a cruise around Great Britian in August. I'll spend a day in Cobh, Dublin, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Inverness, and Edinburgh. Can anyone help me find shops that I might see while I'm there? I'm new to blogs - hope this is ok.

If you Google quilt shops in Ireland and the UK, you should be able to get a good list going.

Stephanie, if you post this item again but mention the areas, for example, "Looking for quilt shops in Cobh, Dublin, Liverpool, Glascow, etc." in the title or subject line you may get some responses from those in the know!

Good luck! It certainly is okay to request this of us, we're a very helpful bunch! Oh yeah, have fun!

Why don't you do a "Members" search for members who live in those locations. You can then send them a message via their profile and ask them for any local quilt shops. I'm in the wrong part of the UK to help. And don;t expect a deluge of addresses. Quiltshops are a little thin on the ground this side of the Atlantic.

          Have fun cruising!

Thank you so much for those thoughts. Even if I only find one store, I'll be thrilled.

              I'm working on it........

Here is one in Glasgow: http://www.mandors.co.uk/

Haven't been, so I have no idea what it's like. And in the present economic climate I'd check before your cruise if the place still exists.

And here is one in Belfast: http://www.quiltersquest.co.uk/

                Same disclaimer as before.

Can't find anything in Cobh or Dublin..... Just enjoy the places and drink a large jar of draft Guinness!

                    And now for Inverness:

                    Pat-Chis Corner
                    Inchmore, Kirkhill
                    Inverness IV5 7PX

Can't find a website for this one.

                      Can't find anything in Edinburgh.

That's it. I'm off to bed.......

Please, let us know when you are back if you managed to visit any of these places and what they are like.
