Contact for Show Information, displaying a quilt

    810-797- 2242, Elaine Quilty Shop

Quilt Challenge Kits available at Elaine Quilty Shop, all invited to enter.

Lunch available at Hadley Golf Club House, down the road less than 1/4 mile. There will be food vendors in town. Hadley now has a dollar store and the ice cream parlor has reopened. There will be a harvest festival that day ( it was suppose to have been canceled, but) the chamber of commerce decided to have the festival since we were having the quilt show. The parade is at noon... so if you want to be able to get to the quilt show avoid the noon rush as you probably will not get near the town hall till the parade has left. The parade is nice if you like tractors and classic cars. Hope to see you there!

The Gathering Ladies are getting ready for the quilt show next week. We will have at least 100 quilts on display at the old Hadley Town Hall. If any of you would like to display a quilt, contact Elaine or the girls at the shop. Quilts can be dropped off any time this week. We do want a name tag and the quilt story on the quilts.

Elaine will also be display some of her antique quilt collection. These quilts have never before been displayed at the show before. I have only seen a few of them so I am anxious to see what hidden gems she has for viewing. I also want to see the quilts Elaine has dubbed... THE UGLY QUILTS... I am hoping she will have these displayed in the side room.

The Gathering Ladies will also be having a demonstration of quilting techniques during the show. One of the ladies are going to show hand quilting, another hand applique and I am hoping to show how to do a 3-d flying geese block. Wish me luck cause I have been playing with this all week.

The Gathering Ladies are selling tickets for our raffle quilts. Only $1 per ticket or 6 for $5.00. Pre- show tickets can be purchased at the shop. THE RAFFLE QUILT is queen size and made predominately of ThimbleBerries fabric. Each lady made a block using her favorite technique or pattern. Marilyn graciously gave us 12 ThimbleBerry BOM blocks she had made previously. Pictures of the quilt can be found on the web page. ( link below)
