Quilt Festival - Houston 2008 - Classes
I just rec'd my confirmation of classes for this year's Quilt Festival in Houston! Woo Hoo! I got into the ones (mostly) I really wanted and even got to be a teacher's pet for one of them!
Is there a waiting list for the one's we didn't get in? I can't remember how they do that.

Lynn,
They don't do a waiting list but when you get to the convention center check the bulletin board on the floor where you check in. There are always people looking to buy or sell a class. I'm really excited because I am taking Ricky/Alex/Libby seminar on Thursday and Friday.

Wanda you should be able to get into Ricky's Super Seminar (with Alex and Libby Lehman) and it is SUPER!!!!!!! The only restriction for that is the size of the room and last year we could have had more. I won't be able to go to Houston this year but WHOO HOO I am going to La Veta for Ricky's Retreat in September. Choices choices choices but 2009 Brink is coming to the USA and we plan to be in Houston (at Seminar if Ricky does it again) and with bells on!!!! What a great experience that will be to share Houston and all its joys with an international member. I can't wait. Ann

Ann, I think it would be fun if a whole bunch of us TQS members signed up for Ricky's seminar in 2009 when you & Brink go. Or at least organize some kind of get together. Since I've never been to Houston, I don't know where to begin. There are so many of us here who talk about wanting to meet each other, I've even thought of having a TQS retreat. But maybe Ricky's seminar in Houston would be the perfect venue for that.

I received my confirmation today! YAHOO!! I got into most of the classes that I wanted to take. I'm in Ricky's Super Seminar and Suzanne Marshall's Beginning Needleturn Appliqué. I'm also attending Ricky's concert and the Silver Star Salute. Next years dates are October 15-18, 2009, so classes will start probably on the 13th. I'm doing the happy dance!
