    Sewing table

Just finished watching The Grand Finale and am so psyched! Loved the piped binding. Question about your sewing table. I am designing one for my Bernina, but wonder how to accomodate changing the bobbins. What do you do? Lift the machine out of the table? Tilt the machine back? I love your table, but want to get this detail right. I know is will drive me crazy if changing the bobbin is too complicated.

    Thanks so much.

The table in Grand Finale had an opening under the lip so it was easy to reach in. That table was made by two defuses (me and Justin), but it worked. Yes, sometimes I had to hand lift it out - but not often. My new table has a hydraulic sewing machine lift as most manufactured tables do.

Over here in Maine, we say "doofus"! Thanks for the info. If I put in a hydraulic motor, it will lift the machine above table height if I need too? Ive heard about these lifts but never used one. I hope I can go back and watch the studio build videos again. I will try to concetnrate on the table.

      Thanks for your help!

Honestly, I don't want to be the expert on how those work or are installed. I would suggest going to see manufactured cabinets with the lifts. Then, if you like that - and choose to do a custom build - the builder can find them and install them. Construction is really out of my league - lol - I'm the idea guy.
