Good morning all, I've read your posts about not being able to get Ricky's rhapsody videos. I didn't have a problem with mine. I don't know if this is the answer or not, but several months ago, people were having problems with the shows and Ricky said that they have more than one server. If a server is down and you happen to get that server, you won't get the entire video. So try several times during the day and you might get into the correct server. That's my best advice. I hope I didn't steer you wrong. If this doesn't help, check with Bob the guru guy.

Good luck, Sharon in TN (quiltnlady)

                  Hi Gang -
If something is not working with a video, just comment on the blog and bring it my attention - then it will be corrected as soon as possible. Not sure what happened with Viva Violetta as it was accessed several times - then somehow stopped working, but when I woke up this morning, I saw the comments and fixed it. - Also, I don't usually 'approve' those comments as they are really just alerts. Thanks - Ricky

Yahoo!! this is the first time I have seen the flag flying. I have been a member here since close to the beginning, but never ventured into the other areas of the board until some time in August. It is so exciting to see the flag flying. I need a kick in the pants to work on my rhapsody quilt. The one in my head can't wait to be in cloth.

Hi everyone. I am wondering about a couple of things. I've started on my rhapsody quilt and I want to have it be the centre for a large bed quilt. Adding borders to it making it larger should work just fine.
Most rhapsody quilts are wall hangings and therefore don't get washed. I want to be able to wash the bed quilt. I have done alot of applique on wall quilts. I have never done raw edge applique though. I've been reading Ricky's book and fusing the applique down and then doing the blanket stitch around looks great. If I want this quilt to be washable should I maybe do the applique with the turned under edges? Or maybe a satin stitch covering the raw edges would be okay?
Do any of you have experience doing raw edge applique and then washing?

I haven't done a rhapsody quilt yet, but I have done raw edge applique-and it is definitely washable. It may even be stronger that needle turn, but I haven't done much of that, only on wall hangings that I haven't had to wash. I think a rhapsody would make a beautiful bed quilt!

Ooh, a rhapsody bed quilt sounds beautiful! I think the satin stitch around the applique would be fine.

Hi everybody....I wanted to tell you all that I posted my completed Rhapsody on my profile tonight. I cannot even begin to describe how much I enjoyed making it. I have never pieced anything like this with all the curved seams and I loved how they fit together with Ricky's techniques. So much fun............I just want to start another one right away.
