OHMYGOSH!! That is so funny!!!  :lol:Originally posted by ReetzbobeetzEvery time I see the heading on this topic it reminds me of my mother who refers to surfing the net as "Goggling on her lapdog". It's Google not Goggle!

I'm on FB because my DIL puts pics of our DGS on there. She won't email them anymore. I also have a page for my business because I was advised that I needed to have a presence there in order to get new clients. It really hasn't helped that way but who knows. I forget to update it, I forget to look at pics unless I'm reminded; I really don't like it. I feel funny asking people to "like" me. Puts me right back in every new neighborhood I ever lived in as a child.
Cap'n John's post about a new website in January is very exciting and daunting at the same time for me  .
I've joined a couple of other quilting social sites and they're not nearly as friendly as we are
. So I'll be canceling them out very soon.

As long as it doesn't moult or leave muddy pawprints all over the place she should be fine - sounds like she's is a bit of a 'TOG' to me.Originally posted by ReetzbobeetzEvery time I see the heading on this topic it reminds me of my mother who refers to surfing the net as "Goggling on her lapdog". For non uk readers for many years, Radio 2's breakfast show was hosted by a irish gentleman called Terry Wogan and he had a very dedicated band of followers refered to as TOGs - Terry's Old Gals/Geezers, and they would write in (tongue in cheek) with various observations or queries, the one I remember best is about when for the tv we were advised to press the red button on our remote controls to go to the digital picture, one Tog wrote in and said that when hit the red button to go digital and the screen went completly black and the sound went off! Obviously he had used the wrong red button  Ever since in my household if we are going to turn off the telly, we refer to it as 'going digital'
for those who feel the need to delve further try here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/wa...what-is-a-tog/or for those with a stronger sense travelling dangerously try here http://www.togs.org/
Just been wandering around the site myself and found this page http://www.charitygoods.com/Hellensblog.html it describes a wedding and the advice that the priest has for the new couple, I recommend it as a really interesting read.
