    Simply Quilts

I am looking for the star pattern that was on the opening credits of "Simply Quilts."

    #2
I am hoping you are requesting the pattern from the book Log Cabin with a Twist - that is the most requested pattern of all time...and the only one from the credits I am aware of.

Please check with your local quilt shop for the book or order it on line:

It looks like this book is out of print for a new copy. The used copies on Amazon are starting at $41!!

I thought I had a copy of this book, and at one time I did, but I can't find it now. Perhaps someone else on this list might have a copy to sell you.

Thanks Michelle! I hadn't even looked at the price or availability.  I wasn't even sure that this was the pattern that Joan was looking for.
I also have a copy that I would be willing to sell if someone else needs one. There are few quilting books out there that are worth that kind of money, in my opinion!

Well, I guess I spoke too quickly! I thought I should go to my bookshelf and pull it out, and I find that it's not there! Perhaps I already donated it to my guild. So sorry!! I can't delete my post but I will edit it. Sorry again Joan.

Eek! Someone on ebay is selling it as a "Buy it Now" for $64.95. I probably should spend some time going through all of my books to see which ones are no longer in print... looks like a great way to make a fortune! LOL!

Bookfinder.com has a nice list of Alex's books, but they don't appear to have that one. Nevertheless, they are a good source for out of print books when you want one.

I googled Bonnie Browning's Twisted Log Cabin and came up with this, http://www.patchpieces.com/files/eqa...ngletwist1.pdf, for drawing the block in EQ. I made my own version of this quilt back in 2008 called Star Twist. It is pictured in my profile.
