Hey, that's why we all make such a great family at TQS -- we all help each other. I'm such a visual person so for me, I have to see it written out in order to remember it.

I successfully enlarged a 5 inch design to 26 inches in order to make a large appliqued block. It's fun and liberating to be able to make changes like this for yourself. I love my local Kinkos. They have this large printer that I can punch my numbers into and 'tada' out comes one large piece of paper with my resized design on it. Sure beats taping pieces of paper together and the cost is minimal.

You are all the best! I just got back from Kinkos with a border pattern I resized 230% and it works perfectly. This group has all the answers....Many thanks for your answers. Dot

Just remember if you are reducing templates with the seam allowance already marked, the seam allowance gets reduced too. Remark the quarter inch seam allowance before you cut. Ask me how I know this. It was a loooooog time ago in my quilting life but the "free" education left a lasting impression. Betty Ann

Ohhhh....good catch Betty Ann!! Whenever I am drafting my own designs or altering one, I always work with the FINISHED size then make sure I add the seam allowances as necessary.
