    Redwork Designs :)

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but here goes:

Alex, thank you very much for the free redwork designs on your website. The first three are lovely. I'm determined to collect the whole set of 12 and do something with them during 2010.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but where did you find the designs -- I have been looking with no luck.

Well duh, I just figured it out reading Lorchen's message, it is in Alex's website. I feel pretty stupid.

I'm with Lorchen, thank you so much for the free Redwork designs. I'm dutifully printing them out each day. My plan is to hand embroider the designs. I have not done hand embroidery for 20+ years so this should be interesting. Any input from the experts would be greatly appreciated. Bobbi

Alex, your Redwork patterns are beautiful. I have not done embroidery in like 25+ years, and agree with Bobbi, any help from the experts would be appreciated.
Thanks for this wonderful gift Alex!

Well I am certainly not an expert. I have a picture on my camera of a redwork quilt that my mom made that she gave me for Christmas. If I can get my DH to download it onto the computer, I will put it in a blog. I will take a close up of part of it also. Frances

I finally got the pictures off my camera and into a blog. Some of the close-ups are a little blurry. Sorry about that. Enjoy the pictures.

Frances, that redwork wallhanging is gorgeous! I bet you'll display it every Christmas from now on, and it'll become a family heirloom!

Thanks very much for these designs Alex. I have been working on them (I haven't stitched them in red though ops: ) I have used varying colours and my plan is to attempt a quilt similiar to the one Margo completed, which incorporates some of the 2010 Bom blocks.
And of course finish my 2009 BOM !!!!! :?

Jenny, I don't see them there any longer either. Alex had presented the free patterns as a "Christmas gift" to her viewers, so they were probably removed from the site after several months.
