Bendable Bright Light now available for 220V

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I was the FIRST to order it and I want all of those of you who have been wishing that you could have this nifty extra light, that it is available. Works great!

So, where did you get it?

I ordered it directly from bendablebrightlight.com. I'd been in contact with them for several months asking for a compatible version to use in Europe. The "boat arrived" while I was in the USA and I had it shipped there to save on postage but they advised me that they would ship internationally.

I've been lookin' at those for a while. Are they permanently (sp?) attached to the machine?

Not permanently attached. It has a removable adhesive mount for the light that I've position on the head of the Bernina and little clips that are also adhesive mounts that control the path of the small cord. If you go to the website there is a photo. Also TQS shop sells the BBL but I don't think they have the 220V version.

I have one of these and couldn't be without it now that I've used it. Because it's bendable, the light can be directed exactly where I want it for really bright light. It attaches with an adhesive that stays on the machine, but the light itself can be removed and even put on another machine with a different adhesive attachment if that's what is needed. This is one of the best light sources I have found, especially for old eyes! Marge

Thanks, I am going to get one of my own. My eyes have not been very good lately. One more thing I need. Thanks again for the information. Rina

I just went on the quilt show shoppe. It sells for 50.00 dollars but does not sayanything about the 220V. Is it a bulb? that I could buy?

I believe the 220V is European current. The one sold onTQS Shoppe is for American current and the bulb is included. The light comes complete with mounting brackets. The only thing you would need to buy extra would be an additional mounting kit if you want to use it on more than one machine.

I had caratact surgery this spring, but before that getting sufficient light was very difficult. After I found the Bendable Light, seeing at the machine was much easier. Marge

Thaks Marge for your information. I did not know the 220V was european. I now feel comfortable getting one here. Rina

Yep, 220V is for the European market so it is unlikely that TQS would sell that version on its website. I tried to use the 110V with a transformer & adapter but it DID NOT work. That's why I posted the message in the International forum -- to advise my fellow 220V quilters that this nifty light was now available to us.
