So sorry to hear that Marilyn. Please pass on condolences to your DH and the rest of the family. Our dog is 16, with one eye and arthritic hind quarters so it feels like we are in the waiting room all the time now. Not looking forward to the day...

Me, too, Marilyn, I'm very sorry for the loss of your little one. Sending both you and your husband my condolences. We really do love our pets and it is so hard to let go but your furbaby knows what a great guardian you've been and how fortunate you've been to have each other for whatever time you've had. Hugs, Renata

So sorry, Marilynn. Distractions are good. I like your 6" sq idea. I need to stop by the PO and do some research.

Marilyn, sorry to hear about your loss. It is so difficult to lose a pet and as you say the waiting room bit is very hard.

Renata very well said, loved your words.

Marilyn, sending you big hugs. It is always very painful and amazing the hole they leave.

Lois, a couple of years ago on Threadbias I was in the 'complete your ufos' group and if you managed one or two finishes in the three month time period the other six people in you gang sent you a fq, and likewise you sent them one. We didn't have any problems at all posting overseas, and it was mostly americans with myself and a german lady involved. Postage from USA varied from just over $2:50 - $4:99 (I think)'.

Right I'm off stash diving to put together some bundles (the more I think about it - dangerous I know - the more I think it should be a small selection up to the quantity of a fq)

I am going to give this exchange a miss. I am sure that all of you hoarders out there have every FQ I have already - which isn't many. Don't want to part with any of them as they are too hard got, and it doesn't make economic sense to send stuff to Ireland from either the UK or America now. I'll tag along for the chatter anyway.

When I was sending out my mug rugs, I kept them at the same size and they cost less than $2.00 to send.

Oh. My. Goodness. A gal goes away for a few days and comes back to a quilt forum thread totally re-invented.

Can't think I would be able to aptly comment on all the goings-on, but you gals have been busy! Moose, chocolate, sympathies for a dog (hope I'm right) and a stash exchange or swap? Whoa!

Just tell me what to do. I'm in, even though I'm not sure what I'm committing to. See, I trust you LL.

It's February now, so I guess it's time to share chocolate...over on BOM 2015. I'll have to check it out - haven't even gotten there yet. I just got my Tulip needles and glue stick ( like Rita's), so now I can put my windows on.

BTW - allow a little boast - my personal story - My DIL is just launching her new cookbook - "Brown Eggs and Jam Jars" by Penguin. You can still get the pre-order price as the 'official' launch date is Feb 10. It's really much more than a cookbook - I'm so proud of her. Amazon, Chapters or Indigo. So proud of her. I will be babysitting while she goes around on the book tour. Don't know how much quilting I will get done, as I usually nap when the baby does.

Well done to your daughter in law.

You missed out Rita me and several others going for a tour moose hunting in Nancy's back yard and dropping off at various sewing rooms on the way. Have you posted your sewing area yet. As it is and no tidying up :cheer:
