It is going ok. I am liking having a 4 day week even though the days are longer than I have been used to. Work colleagues are fun and I can have a good 'banter' with themthis makes all the difference! The pace of work is slower than I am used to, so that is taking some getting used to though. Got my first paycheck on Friday for 2 weeks of turning up - :woohoo:  :woohoo: Some of which may or may not have been spent on fabric on a girls day out with some friends from EG and Izzy, when we went to Bombay Stores, Bradford, and then onto a couple of other fabric shops in Harrogate.

http://www.remnanthousefabric.co.uk/ reputably this shop although small has a good selection of quilting cottons on the first floor (upstairs) but I wasn't allowed up there[sub]by Izzy- boo hiss! even after I had bought some fabric for her to a make a nightgown with.[sub]

Beautiful mug rugs, Wendy and Judith--what a thoughtful gift of fabric, Judith! Rosemary, I am so glad that you've settled into your job so well and enjoy the pace! Perhaps it will pick up here and there, along the way!

I finally got the mug rugs up on the wall in my sewing room. They make me so happy when I see them!

              Thank you everyone!

Beautiful I think I'll put mine up. Usually I have just a couple up at a time but I've got space at the moment.

They make me smile too. I was able to identify some of the quilters by the style. Fun!

Is this where I post my "Roots" mug rug? I've forgotten which forum post we were working on!

In any case, here it is. Not the most artistic mug rug I've made, but it's very special. Several years ago I had my mother in law sign these pictures of her and Grandad thinking that I would use them for the grandkids when they got married. Both Gran and Grandad have passed away. When the topic "Roots" came up, I knew this would fit. Then I remembered I had 4 embroidered trees that I didn't use as planned. Viola! It all came together. I mailed it off to my niece, however I haven't heard anything back yet.... :S

                        Happy October!

I really like how you pulled it all together on your 'roots' mug rug.
