Glad it went well Wendy. It is always nerve wracking the first time you lead a workshop, but at least you knew that you had all of us there cheering you on, in fabric

Well done, Wendy! Sounds like a successful class!

Wendy, I love your chicken twisters pillow! I have the very small template (1") for that pattern, but have never attempted it. It's on my to do list!

And, congrats on a successful mug rug class! I'll bet it was a lot if fun! I have a simple striped apple mug rug pin (Pinterest) that I found, and it has been re-pinned almost 50 times. So, I'm gathering that a cute apple is an appealing mug rug for many people! Another "to do!"

Congrats Wendy. I'm sure you enjoyed the class, as did your students.
Let us know your traveling schedule, as I'm sure you're already getting booking into 2017. I want to attend one of your classes too!

While shopping for curtain fabric at the hoarder lady quilt shop I came across some cycling fabric. My oldest son is quite the bike rider. He rides many miles. (I keep trying to explain to him that it's quicker to drive his car! ) In any case, I bought 4 quarter yard cuts and made him a mug rug. I hope he will like it.

I am really liking the "sew stuff together" strategy. Especially when coming off making a quilt that must be exact. When I went to quilt this muggie I noticed the way the fabrics came together looked like a "M". My son's name is Michael, so I quilted it using the M shape. It was so fun!. The back is the 4 pieces of fabric.

What a fun mug rug! I love the fabric, too! My husband used to be an avid bicyclist, but a mug rug is just something he does not understand!
