I wanted to share this absolutely gorgeous beach mug rug that Wendy gave me. Don't you love it?!

    Comment

I've also posted in Show & Tell a few other pictures of mug rugs I made last December as Christmas gifts for the folks that work for me. They were all handing out these wonderful homemade baked goods, chocolates and candies. So I made them each a mug rug and included a tea bag and a coffee stick. It was a perfect complement for all that gooey sweet stuff.

I know this isn't technically a part of the exchange, but wanted to share since this exchange inspired me so.

      Thanks to all!

Wendy, Lorna's mug rug is so beautiful, especially how you quilted the sky! Is summer around the corner?

                Just the right scraps Sue.

Fun present Lorna I may copy your idea. By coffee sticks I assume you mean the sachets not something like a cinnamon stick

Hello from Eastern Washington amid unpacked boxes!

I received a lovely mug rug at my new address from Rita! It was so exciting to open the new mailbox and find it! Much better than the other mail.

Here is a picture of it. It is wool appliqued on a perfectly quilted background. See the binding treatment? Cool! Rita says it is "two lovebirds for you two love birds." Thanks Rita I love it.
