I too like this thread a lot and the pictures of the mug rugs. Robyn's Ritzy Rug was wonderful to see first thing this Sunday morning! Working on mug rugs for Robyn and Cathy now; anyone else want to swap with me?
Congratulations Lorchen on being a great aunt. Nature has a way of taking care of things and momma and baby look wonderful.

It's the morning after... no more Chinese Whispers... no more schedule to keep for quilting... but plenty of projects to resume! But, first, I want to share the four mug rugs I received in the past few weeks and could not post. The are all so different, lovely and fun. Thank you for them all and especially thank you for your patience in waiting for me to post them!
Lotti gave me all my favorite shades of red with prairie points, a cool yarn border and on the back the coolest label with prettiest handstitched hexagon flower (and the Cailler chocolat, Lotti, that was divine!):
Then came BJ's machine embroidered mug rug with beautiful colors and Asian design. The border was tacked down with a lovely decorative stitch (will have to remember to try that sometime):
Ritzy's bright, colourful mug rug made me want to take it to one of the islands in the Caribbean and sip summer drinks by the water! Every time I look at it, I see something different! And look at that border!
Last but not least... I'll have to send another post for the most recent one I received... I'll be right back!

... and a mug rug que j'adore from Wendy, the colour combinations, stitching, fabric choices, embroidered detail, subtle beads, I just keep staring at this beauty, definitely not a mug rug but a proper work of art:
Now I better get started on the second half of the mug rugs I plan to send out! The mug rugs I've received all have inspired me lots! :P Thank you, thank you!!!

Beautiful Renata, all of them!!
I'm not suggesting we stop talking and posting pictures here. This is the heart of it all. I just thought that if we have a 'Show and Tell' section too, it easier if we just want a quick fix looking at all these beauties. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

I must have missed that comment, Lorchen, as during my Chinese Whispers quilt making interlude I barely skimmed the surface of the Forum postings and have two months' worth of catching up to do (if I manage that). Yours sounds like a great idea--have you forwarded a request to the TQS powers to see if they'd be willing to put up a Show and Tell for our mug rugs or has anyone?
