The sun is up and I've gotten some pictures of my beautiful new mug rug from Lorchen! I'm so delighted, I'm singing like a bird today. (If you heard me, you would realize that the bird is a raven...)

        Thank you so much, Lorchen!!

I don't think I could teach a color class. I work very intuitively and how to explain that?

Once again it's such a pleasure to see all these rugs. Rita, I love your wall. Maybe I should show mine, but that can't be until next week. Tomorrow I'm heading for a big quilt show in The Netherlands. In fact it's today  , so I must go and get some sleep. Hope to show you something interesting from the show.

I don't know how it happened but I got behind with the Mug Rug thread by 4 pages. I guess I wasn't recieving the emails for some reason. All the mug rugs are so very gorgeous. I cannot believe the talent. I still owe a few, Lorchen (It's done.), Charae & Norma I know what I want to do just have to get started. I got a bit behind with CWQuilt but I can no longer use it as an excuse. First it was catching up with all the things I let go because of the CW deadline. Then I must say there have been some rather serious "life happens" situations in the family. Currently there is another, my MIL -92yrs- is having some serious health issues and requires my care periodically. I so much need to get to my sewing . It keeps me sane. Heather I want to be on your list for Brazilian inspired Mug Rug .

I would like to get on your list, too, Heather. After Christmas will be better for me, too, since I have a bunch of presents that I need to get to work on.

Lois--Don't stress about my mug rug. As a matter of fact, if you want to wait until after Christmas I will gladly look forward to it then. I understand what you mean about the calming influence of sewing, but sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day. Take care of your MIL and you.

So this evening my eldest daughter comes in and says she wants to start a new project. I asked what she had in mind. Mug rugs! What kind do you want to make. I want to make them like the one you made. Hate to tell you this(to the daughter who has a hard time deciding what to eat when she goes out because there are too many choices) but I have made 25 of them--which one. I want to make them with black and bright colors. Well--that would be all of them too. After much conversation it was decided what she wanted to do on two of the four that she wants to make. Next problem, you guessed it, picking fabric. This should be a very interesting time. She did ask why I was laughing at her and I told her I wasn't I just found it interesting watching her pick fabric.
