    Lorchen and Matthew,
Your mug rugs will be in Monday's mail so you should have them within the next few days/weeks.

    Comment

"Hi Mathew, no the mug rugs don't have to be any size and the design is entirely up to you. It just needs to be big enough to put a mug and a cookie on."

Rita is right, Mathew (as always). The mugrugs I make seem to decide themselves what size they want to be during the process of being made. And they all (made by me or received from other lounge lizards) get tested for suitability with a glass of single malt.

Lorchen, Just be honest and tell him how big your cookies are

Oh Terrie, we have to ease in this new lounge lizard gently, right!

And don't forget, I'm a German living in the UK. Our cookies are called biscuits and they tend to be a lot smaller than an American cookie.

I have three muggies that are going to fly on Monday. One is square, and two are rectangular, and one lounge lizard is going to get mail from me and won't expect it. You could easily fit four single malts on that one.

I received these two beautiful mug rugs in the post yesterday. This one is by Renata - look at that feather! And those pebbles and the narrow lines of the border! Beautiful fabrics, quilting design, binding.

And this one was made by Renata's sister Danny who is also a member of TQS. The applique is done in wool. This too is beautifully quilted - probably a thread that runs in the family. Isn't that sheep just the cutest?

I really love them both thanks so much stitchin' sisters.

Glad you like them, Rita. Just don't look at the back of mine    ! Thanks, Nancy--the incredible quilting on the mug rug you made for me inspired me to try more! and of course, after the CW quilt, I lost my fear of quilting! Long way to go but lots more confidence now...

                    Rita,
The designs and the quilting on those two mug rugs are beautiful. Love the border quilting Danny did, and Renata's feathers are wonderful and really stand out with the pebble quilting in the background. Inspiring for sure!

Ditto about Danny's border, love it.

Beautiful mug rugs, Rita. That sheep is very cute. Reminds me of a YouTube video I saw with my grandson this morning. There were a bunch of sheep jumping around in a very funny way that made me laugh.
