I also have a quilt on the longarm that needs to be done by next Wednesday. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten. Love to all.
Ditto. Except for the sick grandkids... and the longarm deadline. But, I'm back in town and will be back in the saddle this weekend!

Last I heard they were trying to find out about the special MRI and insurance. Sounded like everything was on hold until that was accomplished.

I've been slowly plugging away at the mug rugs I want to send out but am stacking them up to mail a bunch together... but yesterday I ran into a friend who wanted to bring me mooncakes she had baked for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday (shame on me, my mooncakes were store-bought this year ), so last night I decided to make her a Mid-Autumn mug rug to say thank you for the mooncakes. I put myself in overdrive, cut and pieced the block last night, FMQ'd it this morning, and by noon, the binding was on, just in time to exchange mooncakes for mug rug! She liked it because it tells the story of this particular holiday, "The Rabbit in the Moon." Frankly, didn't think I could make a mug rug that quickly, but when on a mission, I guess you do what you have to do!

Finally replaced my batteries. So, here is a picture of the wonderful Canadian maple leaf from Debbie.

OOPS! I am so embarrassed. ops: That wonderful maple leaf was from Debbie, not Terrie(still from Canada). Sorry Debbie--shouldn't have waited so long to post the picture. Thank you Terrie for clearing that up  .

Oh, Renata, that is just beautiful quilting. Now I have to look up mooncakes and Mid-Autumn Festival.

And what beautiful quilting, Renata! Love the way the circle is set off-center!

Two beautiful mug rugs. Renata, a beautiful mug rug for your friend. A lot less calories and it will never go off!

Debbie what a lovely mug rug you made for Ritzy. I would love to see the Aurora Borealis some day.

Rita, they are awe inspiring. Could watch them forever, like a rainbow.

Could be someone with a lot of talent and inspiration could make a batik-like Aurora Borealis. Maybe BJ - she's good at outer space stuff!

I agree Terrie--the Northern Lights (Aurora) are eerily beautiful. Here they are not as colourful as farther north but still so pretty. And I have a piece of fabric my sister brought me from Alaska that has the Aurora on it. I think I am going to use it as the sky for a wall hanging I want to make of a grain elevator. I really like the old fashioned grain elevators which are disappearing.

Ritzy--glad you like the mug rug.

I have seen the Northern Lights, here in Indiana, twice. They are fascinating to watch. Just beautiful.
