Is anybody from the USA going to the Quilt Show in May?

As far as I know Lois there is nobody from the USA coming to the LLQS. I quite understand as airfares are very expensive just to come over for that. If it was for a holiday to Scotland and then take in the show while they were here would be different.

Just thought I would let you know that the early bird tickets for the LLQS are up on the website now. There are also a couple of the evening events as well. Exhibitions will be added soon as we are still trying to figure exactly what we have and what to put where. I keep going into the website and see the days counting down and it is really scary how fast the days are flying by. Our vast team (Isabel and me) are doing a great job. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Maureen, I wish I were there to help you. Just posted on the Mug Rug thread that I mailed 4 Mug Rugs today, yours being among them. I didn't mention that my label is also in the envelop. Drum roll, please! I think I am finished with my Whispers Across the Pond responsibilities! Am I right? And, how many of us can say that? Time to get on the stick everyone. Make Maureen's life a little easier! Can't wait to see the quilts? Maureen have you heard from anyone at TQS. All I recieved was a "Thank you from Capt John and that he sent the info on to Lilo.

Lois, looking forward to receiving the mug rug. That is great that there is another label coming and yes you have done everything, CW quilt, 100 words and now the label. Now you tell me! Just left the pier... Surprisingly sunny all day, but extremely windy. Visted the Royal Pavillion this morning and the Lanes this afternoon. Narrow, windy streets of old town now filled with pubs and shops. Sort of like The Shambles in York that Rosemary took us to while we were up there for the reels sorting.

Have to take advantage of these 3 day weekends when they come along. Happy birthday George and Abe!

Hello Dear all!

Just red the las couple of pages. Lots to catch up but seems like things are going well in the CW front. Too bad nobody from the US is going to be at the show. I had just talked to DH about it and he said it was ok with him if I wanted to go but, things just changed. Got a call today letting me know my very dear Great Aunt, like a second Mom to me, fell and broke a hip. She's 86 and has osteoporosis. She'll be having surgery tomorrow. I will be going to see her, in Texas, instead of going to the quilt show.

Maureen, got the 100 words in my to do list, will get to it sometime this week. I sent my label with Marilyn's quilt, right?
