Wendy, How great it must feel to be able see that light at the end of the tunnel. I am so glad you have time to do Christmas. Enjoy the holiday!Originally posted by twigletI'm taking a whispers break until after Christmas due to family, mounting pile of washing and the shops calling me. So you can take a deep breath Lorna and enjoy Christmas
Then I'll be blocking and on the home stretch......

Thank you, Nancy. I actually have that class but only went through the first lesson and got distracted toward other things and never went back. Will certainly go back to it now! I really like that quilt a lot!
Wendy, congratulations, you're almost there, and so nice you can take a break for the holidays knowing that you will still have plenty of time to finish your quilt and send it off to Lorna. I'm so intrigued by yours, especially when I think of the beautiful pieces you've shown us already, like your animal portrait, among other things and I still can't get over the beautiful detail in my mug rug, a mini masterpiece in itself. I look forward to the reveal of your CW quilt!

That's really nice of you to say that but I can't put the same sort of detail in this playing field of a quilt. Hope I've done enough to live up to your standards. I've actually enjoyed doing it and it's stretched my skills which is good. Can't wait for the reveal and we can talk properly

Look forward to it, Wendy, but there is no doubt in my mind about how lovely your quilt must be!
Nancy, I just looked at the Craftsy class for Rock Chalk, and let me tell you, there's no comparison! While the pattern is the same, your choice of fabrics made the quilt a class act! What amazes me is that, looking at the Chapter 2 quilt Fielke demos, I would have never chosen to make it. Looking at yours immediately made me want to raid my stash. Go figure!

Should I make them White Horse muggies to give the engine some extra horse power?
Packing light going shouldn't be too much of a problem, coming back - now that will be a whole different kettle of fish, depending on what traders Maureen has got organised for us to patronise
Think I will try and organise a heap of ATC's for sharing to take with me too.

Renata - You are way too kind! My color choices were already chosen for me since there are only a few Jayhawk colors! So my job was to just come up with the pattern to use for those colors.
Lorna - Can't wait to see your pictures!
Wendy - I can't wait to see your Whispers quilt! I'm sure it's spectacular!
