I have added some information about the label that I was sent at the beginning and then sent out to you all but I thought it was worth putting it on page 1 with the rules to refresh everyone's memory.

Renata - I delayed on sending Limbania's quilt to Maureen for the same reason! I just couldn't decide on a quilt name so couldn't make the label.

Nancy you have the group name, your name and no.4. I know they are not quite in order but the only thing you haven't put in is the Group no CW004. I can put the no. on with a Sharpie or I can still put this one on but make a paper one for the show or you can send me another one if you would be happier with that. It is your quilt so you choose and I will do whatever you want.

Because I am nearing the time allowed for me to finish my segment of the CWQ Challenge I reviewed the rules and its a good thing I did. I was considering using a facing to finish the edge and the rules say it must be bound. I am assuming a facing would not be a binding, it would be a facing. Am I right in that assumption? I am not there yet but I must be planning differently than my original intention if facings are not considered bindings.

Lois, I thought it would be ok as facing do cover the edges but to make sure I have just been in touch with the LLQS and Ruth says that facings are fine they just didn't want raw edges as that would not look very nice on hung quilts. I hope that helps

Lois, it must feel good to be on the final stretch of your part of this journey. Before you know it, your beautiful quilt will be posted and then Rosemary will be waiting in anticipation for her turn, and then Rita and then Wendy and then.., and then... and then before you know it, it will be time for Loch Lomond!

Where are you going in the States? Three weeks yesterday I will be going to France with my sister to visit her daughter who lives there, can't wait. Hopefully they have internet so I can see the forum every day instead of pages and pages to read when I get back

I think Wendy was referring to the quilt Maureen. :lol: Speaking of crossing the pond...is anybody seriously considering going to Loch Lomond for the festival next year? I had a look online and it is from 14th to 17th May. Maureen, would you know if it would be necessary to book this far in advance for accommodation?
