Sounds like you all had a wonderful Christmas. My sister, her husband and 4 kids ( 19, 14, 10 and 8 ) came from Mexico. We had a great time in Disneyland, California Adventure and Las Vegas. We spent Christmas at home and they stayed until the 29. They are safe and sound back in Mexico. DH Is at work and seems really quiet around here now that things are back to "normal".

I want to thank you all for a wonderful year sharing life in this forum. Thank you for your advice and support.

Here's to a New Year full of blessings, health, love, prosperity, abundance and lots of quilting.

Hello and Happy New Year all you Whisperers ! There's been so much to see and read the last few days !!
Great programs and lots of discussions ! And surprises, Rita ! As for quilting.....Well...
Seein's how I can't really talk about the project at hand....I'll say it took a while to marinate and then for
an idea to gel ! Now I'm well in progress but had to order supplies from Amazon ( the quickest way !)
And so I'll be hurrying to make up for lost time ! See beads sweat and crumbs of cloth flying ??
Whee !!! I'm glad DH has good input ! And lots of patience ! All in all..it's coming along ! Just wait ! You'll
all get a turn !
Cold and frosty here...not as cold as Bren tho...glad to say.
No snow in the forecast but we could use some.
DH spent all weekend working on my old Singer treadle's cabinet. A real "box" job ! It came down in the
family..I learned to sew on it ! but it spent many years in a shed on the farm and then I packed it around a long
time. About 25 years ago..before I knew better..I disassembled and striped the wood...didn't finish it for Who
Knows why? ...Well , with lots of effort and hand-made parts, it is going back together. :!: Not original..
but should function. I have to do some more research on the machine. It has an old serial number and I can't identify
the model exactly...it seems to have an odd bobbin/case assembly. Decals are mostly gone...but seems to be
one called Painted Daisies ..has a" fiddle" base..1870-1880. About right for family story. I think it will sew ..I hope !
A winter project for sure ! Well, back to the grindstone, err...design wall ! Keep stitchin !
