Love your idea Renata. I can see exactly what you mean but I would find it hard to execute it too.

Marilyn, what size is your quilt?

This is what I have been doing for the past few days. I saw a quilt on the Halloween thread by ChrisD that I thought was very funny so I decided to make my own version.

A really cute design and I love the little quilted pumpkin on the side! Where do you get all those fantastic fabrics you have! The fabric choices here are fantabulous!

Great ideas all around ! I've got a mental on your jazzy idea, Renata ! I'm pretty sure you could accomplish
it in fine style !! I lean more to classical, though . That sneaker bothered me a little but I couldn't figure how
to get it in the "bones" but prob'ly would get some blue in with the fussy stuff.

Rita..quilt-y is about 14 inches wide by 17 inches tall...but borders not sewn yet. Will be a WIP for now ! Now...About

I got stumped on the photo. All I picked up was the swirls & curls of the top of the instrument and the fact that the jacket has a 4 button cuff, rather than the cheaper 3 button  I didn't get any further than that ops:

Just about to layer up and get quilting so nearly there. I had a two day workshop over the weekend so tried to get further on before that but had visitors arrive so that scuppered that Nose to the grindstone this week as I have another workshop on Saturday.
