    Thanks Maureen!

We can always send some goodies when we mail you the quilts. Favorite color?
Agreed with this idea. I like 'Whispers across the Pond' much better than my first suggestion too.

'Whispers Across the Pond' sounds good to me too! Thanks for covering the postage Maureen. I am sure that co-ordinating this exchange will take up some of your time and energy so I would like to send you something to say thank you too. As there are only 10 of us (including Maureen) what does anybody suggest? We can send it when we return the inspiration quilt.

I like "Whispers Across the Pond", too. And I'll definitely send a little prize along with my quilt. If we pick a theme, then I'll go along with that. Otherwise, it'll be a surprise! Thanks for putting this together!!

Rita, I am only covering the registration not postage You are all sooooo kind but I am not expecting anything for doing this. No, that is a lie; I want you all to promise that you will stick to the timetable (when we make it up) for finishing quilts and posting them to the next person when they are supposed to be sent.

Either one will work since we are all following this thread and checking TQS frequently. Unless you want to keep records in your computer then e-mail will work best.

Looking forward to hearing from you. This is really very much fun. I am still in awe of the technology that allows us to dream up ideas like this and get the entire thing rolling in just a matter of a few days. Wow!

I will be happy to contribute monetarily as well and thank you so much for including me--very happy. Maureen, I received an email from TQS saying it was from Scottishquilter but the content was not something you would have sent so I deleted it immediately thinking it might be spam or phfishing. There was a second TQS email which I also deleted without opening it so I have no idea who sent it or whether it was an appropriate email or not... did you send an email through TQS? If you did, would you kindly resend it? Thanks and sorry for the trouble!

In the meantime, I am very excited to participate in Chinese Whispers!

Somehow I missed getting in on this, you have all been so quiet whispering around the TQS forum...but I will be carefully watching you "Quilt Whisperers" (Like Horse Whisperers..)

Will you be posting what you do? Or is this going underground!LOL I will be glad to be in a waiting line, if someone has to drop out for any reason.

Terrie there can be a second team
It's going to be a while before we see the quilts but I'm sure there is going to be some chat.

I do feel fortunate to have been lurking at the right time. I got my two emails, thanks Maureen

Sorry that you missed the beginning of it Terrie. It started with just a mention and then just took off in a matter of days. I had to stop at 10 as that is enough to handle logistically for both sides of the Atlantic in the specific time line and we are making quilts not blocks.

I will certainly put you on the waiting line underneath Lottie.

No, we won’t be posting what we do as that would spoil the whole thing as it has to be a complete surprise to each person so they have no preconceived ideas about what other people have made so the only inspiration is from the quilt they receive. One of the rules is ‘NO chatting between friends or discussions about designs or sewing in front of other people’. It seems very hush hush, but that is the whole point of the challenge so that, at the end, you can see the progress made from one photograph to the last quilt. What we are doing in the comfort of our own home will be nobodies business but our own.

Just a thought – I hope the group realise this??

Once started this thread will be very quiet and will probably just be used for saying when a quilt has been posted but not anything about it. The main chat will be between personal emails. The big reveal won’t be until after the Loch Lomond Quilt Show in May 2014.

As Wendy says, there is nothing stopping other people starting a group and doing it as well.
