    So sorry, Lorna.
Thinking of you and sending strength and energy for you and your families.

And a sketch pad is never wrong when you're going on an intercontinental flight or two

Would you like me to postpone posting the quilt tomorrow until you get back?

Sorry to hear your sad news, Lorna, condolences to all your families.

I would suggest a sketch pad and some graph paper, so that you can work out scale, and end up with it being no smaller than 24" and no larger than 40" in any direction  A rubber/eraser, ruler and a small box of colouring pencils might also come in handy - I know they do for me when designing.

PS don't forget the pencil & sharpener

            Thank you all.

Wendy, yes, that is a good idea. I'll return on Tuesday. It would be better not to mail it so that it doesn't arrive while I am gone.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Packing pencils, erasers, etc, now.

I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL, Lorna! I would definitely bring along a sketch pad. It might offer you some distraction when you need it.
