    Me too, I have a large selection so color guidance would be wonderful!

    I selected my fabrics, golden yellows, and will starch them tonight. when I get blocks made I'll post them.

      I have different shades of fuschias, greens and browns ..... I think I'll do sets of all of them and see which turn out best to send in for the exchange! FQs are a great idea! :-)

        Picked up the material for my first set yesterday and washed, starched and cut tonight. Will get them sewn this week. They are what I would call a burnt orange color. Haven't decided on what the color for set 2 will be. I don't think I have ever used starch before so that was a first for me.

        I have to get the batting and backing ready tomorrow to drop a quilt off on Monday to be quilted so no sewing on them tomorrow.

        I will also be sending 2 fat quarters along. That was a great idea.

          Rosemary just gave me 39a and 20b! I'm so glad I found this thread yesterday. I don't usually check the Triangle exchange topic since I wasn't able to be apart of the exchange so I just check occasionally to see some of the finished projects. I have been hoping for a 2012 triangle exchange so I checked yesterday and found the spool/reel exchange, yay! As I read through all of the posts to catch up it seemed that the fewest people were doing purple so I will plan on purples. I will follow Margo's wonderful tutorial on washing, starching, cutting and piecing, thanks, Margo! I will certainly include two fat quarters, great idea! I've never participated in an exchange before. This will be fun! Thanks for organizing this Rosemary!

                          My sister and I got in just under the wire for a second set of reels (just did not get a chance to post...). I'll be doing peach batiks this time while Danny will figure out what she will add to her cheddar when she gets back from her quilting retreat (lucky her!).

                          In the meantime, I will have to catch up later in the week with all the unread postings... We have a young house guest from Thailand. On Friday, she taught me the American Sign Language alphabet (she is deaf since birth but can read/write Thai and English--my Thai is way too rusty to communicate fully). I'm getting better at communicating with her and we've been working on preparation for the Graduate Record Exam (thank goodness I don't have to take it again... ). Needless to say, I might be offline for a little while but will try to read as many postings as I can get to.

                            Dear Sisters;

                            I am thinking of Navy Blue as my color, which doesn't seem to be taken yet as a color. Also, can anyone tell me how much fabric, per color to get to make 41 spools? I know it is eight fabrics but can't find anywhere that states the amount of fabric you need for a total of one set.

                            Thanks, Barbara

                                I have looked at it twice though & didn't see how many spools a fat quarter of each color would make?
