Rosemary, I think when you get this all worked out it will be spectacular. won't be easy to describe in one sentence (like mine, for example
). I remember Roberta Horton said that a quilt that holds your interest will be one that is impossible to briefly describe. You want to look it over many times to find everything. I've seen your quilts and other stuff before, you will pull it off with style!

Kathy, I love the simplicity of your quilt.
I noticed that you don't have one green block of strips, and you put a green border. Brilliant! Can't imagine with all the various strips, how you could not have a green one!

That was because some how or other we had one group with no greens in it :shock: , excepting maybe Rita's which are a very dark green, totaly unplanned and pure random-ness. I think my second set must be one like that. It has Rita's set in it. Now I just have to decide what to do with my second set. Reel/spool quilt almost ready to put borders on. :lol:Comment

Yes, there's Rita's dark green block. When I put the blocks against gray, my original plan, they looked flat. When I used my home-dyed slightly dull green, they just came to life. Then the border had to echo that same green. Yellow-Green has become one of my most favorite colors. I seem to buy a lot of it!

Isn't it fun to see our reels in someone else's work? It was very cool to open up my package and see all the names I know on them.
I showed the quilt top to my Mini Group last night. They were amazed that the reel blocks came from all over the world. "you mean you didn't have to sew all those blocks, they came to you like that"? was what one of them asked.
As Margo says, "cool beans!"

I also just finished my reels quilt. Just did simple and Rosemary's label on the front. I copied all the labels and made the fabric label from all those and it ended up being a BIG label on the back. I'll post a picture at a later date, but it sure brightens up my sewing room.
