You can find citric acid in the canning department of Walmart here in the states. If they don't have any you could request it.
I was making bath bomb fizzies (look them up online if you don't know what they are) and it called for quite a bit of citric acid so I ordered it from Amazon.com.
That sounds like a lot of work Rita. Bet it is good though.
Margo, I saw a post from you on the forum and can not remember where. It had the links to each show that had the slivers or inset strips that Ricky and Alex did. Can you tell me where I saw the post? Sorry I am so forgetful. I should have saved it when I read it.

Thanks for sharing the recipe ! I investigated the elder at the back of the garden and I find they are
too far gone for this season. Now, we might get a drive in up to higher elevation next weekend, so will
look for others as they are very common here. Next year it will be on the try-out list. I don't harvest them
as often now as I did yrs back. The birds love the berries, so I leave it to 'em ! Here's a look at the back garden.
Check out that 2-tone blue sky !! Sorry things aren't in order !

In show #302 Alex shows a strippy insert like Jean Wells.
Show #801 Ricky did his lifeline sliver
Actually you probably mean show # 910. Alex does matchstick inserts that are pieced.

Marilyn your garden looks lovely. I love those asters. If you don't get the elderflowers this year there is always the elderberries. I also make elderberry cordial and elderberry jelly. Yum! DH believes the elderberry jelly keeps him from getting flu every winter - he might be right!
Thanks for the reminder of that programme Margo, I wanted to watch it again too.

Message re: Beautiful Birdhouse quilt design by Lynn. I saved it as "Lynn's birdhouse, but don't know if that's your real and screen name or if you have another screen name?
Hi! I don't know where your picture is on this forum, but I have saved a copy of it on my Picasso. I am just wondering if you have any dimensions worked out for it? Thanks,
Terrie

Hi Terrie and anyone else who is interested! I'm away from the house for a little more than a week but from what I can remember and glean from my iPad, I thought the blocks would work at 9 inches. The borders with the squares or half square triangles were 2 1/2 inch squares. I was thinking I would use a birdhouse every other block and fill the alternate blocks with appliqué branches/trees flowing from one block to the diagonal in the next row. Terrie, I was also thinking I would treat the roof like a flying geese unit, piece the reel between two background side pieces and then the geese unit to the reel unit. I really haven't thought it through much more than that yet. It will probably be the end of July before I really sit down to seriously work on my quilt because we were in the midst of switching my sewing room and a bedroom and will be returning with furniture from my parents' downsizing which will also add to the mass rearranging. Once I get my sewing room back together, this will be my first project. I'm still humbled by your interest!ops: Happy quilting!
