Good Morning,
I just wanted to take the time this morning to let everyone know I am receiving your wonderful quilts and stories. I have been trying to respond to each email but in the last few days I have received so many it has been hard to reply to each one of you. I will eventually get you all emailed back. I will also be posting a list to make sure I have not missed anyone. It is month end at the clinics and so I will be occupied with work stuff for the next couple of days
. But when all the statements are mailed and bills are paid I will get the list compiled and post it here. It will be sometime around the May 10th - 15th. I can't wait for all you to see this wonderful thing we have created. It is just amazing!!!! Each day my heart is touched with the beautiful quilts and stories.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!
Carol

My quilt is complete and the photos and write up have been emailed.Whew!!! I cannot tell you how wonderful it has been to be a part of this process. When I first joined TQS you were in the midst of making this exchange happen and I wanted in. I emailed "contact us" and Lilo patiently directed me through the process to become involved. I got my HST"s in under deadline by the skin of my teeth. What a wonderful way to become involved in this marvelous community.. I have learn so very much. Thank you all. Right now I am behind in everything in my life. This wasn't/isn't the only quilting deadline I have looming but before I am permitted back in the sewing room I have to catch up with laundry, cleaning and yardwork. I am so, so far behind in all of that. But the wonderful carrot on the stick making me plow through all of that is another wonderful quilt waiting to be finished.
This was my first attempt at machine applique using blind stitching. My FMQ improved tremendously during this project. This was my first attempt at machine stipling. I also mastered successful use of metalic thread for the stylized leaves in the trees.

Lois,
congratulations on finishing your quilt, it is beautiful and I love your quilting as well. I appreciate what you say about housework, yard work and laundry... It is so easy to set that aside and hum along happily at the machine... even without at deadline looming.
Cheers,
Renata

Mary Jo, My name is Lois Elaine. After I married, I continued to use my maiden name as my middle name and I became Lois W.(Weader) Bruno. That was before the day of hyphenated last names for women. My mother was always disappointed that I sort of dropped the middle name she gave me so for my screen name and email I am loise and don't even asked where I got 98 because I just don't know. I am Lois.Originally posted by JosewLois your quilt is beautiful and I lke the stipling! Is it Lois or Loise? My mother in law was Lois and so every time I see yout screen name I smile in rememberance of her.

Dorothy, I just loved this design. I felt it fit the spirit of the Exchange and just had to make it. I love all the very original designs many of the others have come up with. The back of yours is so very clever and quite unique. I am clever and unique from time to time but that seems to come in very infrequent spirts and not when I am under the gun. LoisOriginally posted by dorfymidloise, I have been waiting for you to put up your finished quilt ,as I knew we were both doing the same pattern. Yours is absolutely lovely, slightly different colours really beautiful,I love it  Dorothy
