Louise, you and your quilting friends have hearts bigger than the universe and can produce beautiful quilts faster than rabbits can multiply :!: :!:  All of you are helping to bring joy to many people who need all the love and support they deserve after so many natural disasters touched their lives. May all of your lives be filled with the same joy you bring to other people :!:

Patti, yes your new profile picture is wonderful. It truly takes a strong will to accomplish what you have done and are still working on. You are still the same wonderful person on the inside but your body is going through some amazing changes. There is no greater support community then here. Keep it up Patti.

The quilt looks great!! I know how hard it was for you to be "scrappy" but it turned out terrific. I need to get started on mine--and will soon!Originally posted by ladyzMy Medallion quilt is ready for the long arm quilter. I did use a little bit of a plan for the quilt. I was in both exchanges, so decided to put my 2 Alex and Ricky hst's in the center. I surrounded them with Edyta, Margo,Debbie, Clara and Ritzy. My batik group was smaller and came first so they went next. I held my breath and just started adding which ever one I picked up. This was scarry for me, but it didn't look bad! Now with more confidence I just kept adding with no plan. It works!! I received more purples and browns, so I did save the browns for the last row. I added two extra rows and probably would have done more, but I ran out of design wall. I know I do not have an hst from everyone, but I am sure the love from each of us is tucked inside. Have you heard of healing quilts? Well this is mine. When I have a bad day or bigger problems come along, I'll wrap up in my quilt and feel the strenght from each of you. Thanks dear sisters and brothers of the traveling triangles!!!!This has been such a wonderful journey!!!My LOVE to each and everyone of you!!!!Now wish me luck with adding pictures.

Thanks, Margo, I entered the quilt in The Villages (Florida) quilt show in Jan and received a 1st place and the Viewer's Choice award. I was thrilled. The quilt was fun but also a challenge. I learned several new things--but loved the process. Lots of HST in that pattern too!!

All I can say is WOW! I love the cheerful colors. I love the boundless energy you have for the project. I love the kindness you are showing to the victims of the earthquake. It is obivous that they are "fighting a hard battle" but at the same time I know you and all your friends who are working on these quilts have hard battles of your own. Bless you. Bless those who lost their homes. God bless us all for supporting one another. Lois Bruno

oh what a great canadian flag - thank you margo
HAPPY CANADA TO ALL
celebrated in style - visit to the hairdresser and finally short hair again - then visit to a quilt shop in suhr to pick up daniela's quilt which had been longarmed there - once back home off to the trainstation and zurich - visit a a quilt shop i hadn't known before, yes i bought stuff, a few beautiful batiks (so what else is new) and some bright colours as i'm always scared of these and really need these as fillers - once money all gone, back to the trainstation to meet up with my best and oldest friend and fellow canadian, doris, for a nice dinner followed by the theater - fab - just got home and it's already tomorrow here - but it's still canada day (and therefore today) in canada where it counts - so:
HAPPY CANADA DAY TO ALL - ENJOY
 :P  :P  :P
....and good night :wink:Lotti, Kuessnacht - Switzerland

Thanks for the Canada Day wishes. We had a wonderfully sunny day and enjoyed a weiner roast and s'mores (with giant marshmallows!) with two of our girls. Wishing all of you in the US a Happy 4th of July on Monday.
Margo--I love the Canadian Flag. I still don't have a Canada Day wallhanging as I have yet to find an appropriate pattern. I do have a July 4th wallhanging (my husband is an American and our daughters are of course 1/2 so we celebrate both).Deborah W
