Wow Annis, you're strong willed. Mightier than an alarm clock even! I love your blocks.

I like the way you've chosen to make the stars light instead of dark. I can't wait to see the whole quilt!

I finally started my HST project after designing in my new EQ7 software. I have a couple of designs in mind using the Old Maid's Puzzle block. I'm looking forward to meeting cmoellers in Des Moines in a couple of weeks. Stars For A New Day... My Way will be hanging in the show (thanks to Kluadeen Hansen for the encouragement in entering the show). I'll be wearing my TQS badge and would love to be "flagged" down. Teresa

Annis and Teresa, your blocks are beautiful. I am still amazed at all the beautiful things everyone is making out of a simple hst. Teresa, congratulations on having your quilt in the Des Moines show. If I am able to get there, I will look for you. My daughter is due for baby #2 on the 26th. I have reservations for a motel, and I am not canceling unless I have too. Still hoping she will have the baby soon so I can go to the show. I feel little guilty about that, but I did have my reservation before she got pregnant.

Teresa, I love how the green setting triangles makes everything play so nicely together! Have fun in Des Moines!

I will be in Des Moines for the quilt show Sept 28-30. I would love to meet my sisters. What is the TQS badge?

I'll be at the Des Moines show also. I've been there the last several years with ladies from the Iowa Quilters group. We all wear pink tiaras or visors to easily find each other. We have get-togethers Tues and Wed evenings for dinner, games, show and tell, block exchanges and a "garage sale" ( we all bring quilt books, fabrics, tools etc. we no longer want and put them all out on a table for anyone who wants them) Lots of fun! I'll be watching for TQS ladies also. Maybe I need to make a badge for that along with my IQ tag.

Shirley, here is the pattern design for the TQS badge: learn/projects/

Thanks for the link, but I had tried to enlarge and print but could only get it a little larger. Shirley35
PS you know what a whiz I am on the computer, just enough to get in trouble. My guild is having a quilt show this week-end and I have to take my quilts in today.

The label pattern will print out 2" x 2". You can use your printer to make it larger by changing the scale on your printer. If you print the pattern out at 200% you will get a
4" x 4" size, which is what most of us used.

                      Hope that helps!

My first quilt is now quilted. Here is a peak at one corner of the front and back. I told my longarm quilter what I wanted and let her do the work. Now I have to decide on binding. I was going to use that light green stripe but think it needs to be more colorful. Maybe I will go with a scrappy binding using the brighter colors in the quilt.

Both the quilt top and the quilting are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the inspiration. Lois Bruno
