Happy Easter
Still drooling over my HST's. I will count them soon and post amount. Could it have been that some of us miscounted the amount we sent. Probably doesn't matter because you had the total number as what each member said what they would send. :?: :?: Well any how just a thought. Again, Again, Thanks to all who made this possible. This event is truly the highlight of 2011 Quilt Year.
Happy Sewing.

On my first count, I was over about 30, on the second count, under by 4. Don't really care. Just love the triangles and the swap. I may try counting a third time after I finish sorting them by state, country, etc. This counting is harder the reconciling the checkbook!! I have alot of thanks and admiration for our sorters. Thanks again.

I finally managed to get a full count today, and I am also over, by 24. Someone let me know how to do this, and I'll be glad to send them. Honestly, after the sorting, counting process I can only imagine what it was like to handle all of them at once! Thanks again to the people who made this happen!
Follow-up: all of my extra hst's, along with some I made and a few more I scrounged from a friend have all been dispersed. Enjoy!

I so agree, I don't know how they managed with nearly 230,000!!
The love & gratitude to all involved is infinite!!
The system that I'm using in order to document the lovely assortment I received is as follows:
Separate all the unlabelled ones & count them. Write down this number.
1) divide the rest into groups:
USA, Canada, other International
On 3 sheets of paper, label them (USA, Canada, other International)
Count each group & write down that number
2) then divide within the groups:
Specific states/countries, write down each one on the appropriate sheet
Count each of these groups & write down the number of each group
3) next put all HSTs from the same person together
Write this down on your list if you want to.
Tally up the numbers from your 3 lists + the unlabelled. There's your total received.
You can then just start counting out piles of 10 HSTs, regardless of where they are from to double check
the number you came to on your list. If they agree, yay! If not, either start over or give up.
This is the old fashioned pencil & paper method. Those savvy in the computer spreadsheet could use it.
Hope this helps.
I don't have any birth sisters, and am so blessed now to have 500+++ involved in this exchange!
with love from your sister,

I spent the weekend sorting my HSTs by state. (So much for any more work being done on my BOM!) I'm not sure if I am over or under as yet, and it really doesn't matter, as I know I am very close to the 616 I sent in! BUT, I would really love to have one from ME, MS, ND and LA. I am missing these states. So, if you received multiples from these states and would like to trade for some of mine, just send me an email, and we can do an exchange! Thank you so-o-o-o much, in advance!

I don’t need the whole Golden Ticket pack but I didn’t get one from Alex Anderson-I would be forever grateful if you could send me hers if you have it. As I understand it we were each suppose to get one from her & I got two blank blocks in my golden ticket bag.
If so, let me know via e-mail & I will send you my address & money for mailing

I just finished counting and am short by 27, but really am very happy with what I have. It is amazing to see how may do come from which states and countries. I too received the most from Texas (56) and then Canada with (20). Only got one of my own back, but got about 15 from one of my best local quilting friends...We are actually going to do another exchange among a few friends to get just a little more variety. LOL This has been so much fun. Sure hope that Clara & Debbie have been able to get more into the "fun" side of things now that all the packages are in the mail. Thanks again to all my new quilting sisters

Counted my HST's today. 420 is the total for all and that is the amount I sent in. 8 countries represented including the US.
In that count is the Golden Tickets from; Ricky (is that hand dyed fabric?-beautiful), Alex, Edyta, Margo and also the
one from Debbie. Didn't see one from Clara. Seems as each time I look through them I find some I didn't see before.
It's so exciting to think about and plan for this SPECIAL QUILT.
I received 5 from Germany, if there is a need for one please e-mail me.
Thanks
