 Hope your HST package comes Monday, Doreen! Fingers crossed! I'm trying to put myself in our international sisters' shoes who are reading all about how happy we American SoTTT sisters are when we receive our beautiful HST babies and am getting the picture here. Hang in there, SoTTT sisters, it will be worth the wait and Kari has stepped up to the plate to be a clearing house for you and everyone else who wants to trade. Many of us will also pitch in too.  :lol:Originally posted by DElizabethWhen I went to my mailbox, there was the special key to open the large box underneath!
I took a deep breath, held it....too keep myself calm...opened the door...then felt like I had been hit in the gut. The package was for my husband.
With no hope of getting my HST's, I walked home.
Maybe Monday.

Doreen I know how you feel. I spend a lot of time at my LQS and last Jan I talked about the exchange so much that I was told I could not use the word triangles any more until I actually received them. The owner loved seeing me so excited, and I can't wait to show them all my treasures. Maybe next week. Joan

Doreen. I pray that you get your special package on Monday! I would be crying by now. I just got mine this week and I was running to the mail box every day so I know how it must feel by now. Monday morning I will be praying that everyone who hasn't received their fab presents will have an exciting day. Believe me it is worth the wait no matter when you get them.
Happy to be a Sister

Joan and Roine, Thank you for your encouragement.
I've decided to keep busy by finishing quilts for our Quilds' quilt show in September. I'll also dream about the quilt I'll make with my HST's. Dreaming is fun.

Good morning all, I have just surfaced after sitting up late last night watching the wedding coverage. Just lovely.
I too am looking forward to receiving my packages, doesn't matter one little bit if I am over or under or if I receive duplicates, triplicates - no matter as I am making quilts for those affected by the floods and cyclones here in Queensland. I have just read the papers about the terrible hurricanes in your country and the number of deaths and people losing everything. I am just thankful for what we have got and pray that we don't get hit ourselves next season.
If the post office is correct, we should be receiving ours in Oz this coming week. I will keep you posted, ENJOY.

1st of all THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO has participated. I received my blocks this week and was overjoyed by the variety and creative combinations. Now it is time for me to admit I was one of those people who did not write my name and address on her blocks....I did both Batiks and classic fabrics, so find the most awesome block without a name and mark it Sharon from KS! TEE HEE.......again special thanks to those wonderful people who sorted and stacked and mailed....bless you!!!!

My deepest heartfelt thanks to all who participated in this swap and to all the fantastic people who accomplished the tremendous tasks of sorting and mailing. I received my HST's earlier this week and am totally delighted with every single one of them! I am truly amazed by the wide variety of fabrics. Out of my 364 HST's, there was only 1triangle of fabric that matches a fabric in my stash. This was my first exchange and I am so happy that I made the decision to join. I've been looking through my books and magazines for ideas. This may take a while!

Especially for Shirley & for all those who would like the 'short' description of cricket
The Rules of Cricket
You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.
Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out.
When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.
Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.
There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.
When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!
There you go - simple really!
