Hello Goddess of All Information (aka Margo),
I found a plastic bag in my envelope... it had 4 HSTs inside, one signed Alex (from Ms. Anderson), one signed RT (from Mr. Tims), one signed by you and the 4th a brown/tan also pressed open unsigned.... Am I to guess who made that one or will you tell me?
Nancy in SC (aka FluffBallQuilts)
PS: My desing is on point, I have one full block and 2 half blocks made. This is so much fun!

There should have been a small printed note on a bright color paper inside your package which explains what is in the Golden Ticket baggie. There is one from Alex, Ricky, Margo, and the one that is pressed open and either signed or unsigned is from Edyta. Edyta wasn't able to sign each of her HST's so it was strictly the luck of the draw as to who received a signed one from her.Originally posted by FluffBallQuiltsHello Goddess of All Information (aka Margo),

It's a rainy, dull day in Missouri but when my DH said there was a Priority Mail package for me it felt like Christmas! Thankso so much to Clara, Debbie and all the sorters and to each one of you who participated! It so much fun to look at all the different labels and I haven't even got to the HSTs yet. I will try to keep the labels, or at least the locations, as part of a scrap book page.
I haven't even thought about a design yet but look forward to starting this new part of the project. Just what I need...another project!
Thanks again. This was just plain fun!

Thanks for the info, I was guessing from you, but see I would have been wrong. Didn't see the bright colored paper and I just finished sorting out the unsigned ones. My design calls from some just dark triangles, some just light triangles and some cut in half triangles (half light & half dark), these will be made from the unsigned. So far I have one whole block and 2 half blocks made. When I finish one more whole block and 2 half blocks I will take a picture and post it. This is so much fun! I let a quilting friend look in my envelope and she right away wanted me to share.... It was really hard to say no, but my design calles for 622 HSTs. If I have some left, I guess I could give them to her (another use for those unsigned HSTs). Have a fun day, and Thanks for all the work you and all your helper did on my (and everyone else's) behalf.

Sorry you didn't find the note, Nancy. Below is a copy of what was in the note:
Your package from “the SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TRIANGLES” EXCHANGE. VIA THEQUILTSHOW.COM. HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!!
Please welcome THESE newly adopted charges in your home AND TREAT THEM lovingly AS YOU STITCH THEM TOGETHER into a remarkable friendship quilt.
OUR hst’s have TRAVELED AND WILL travel from and to many countries including
Australia, new Zealand, Canada, Germany, Finland, Norway, the Netherlands, s. Korea, Scotland, Switzerland, the united kingdom and 45 DIFFERENT states in the U.S.A.
Be sure to Look inside for a small baggie containing the ‘golden tickets’ from Alex, Ricky, edyta & Margo. Ricky & alex’s have all been signed, but edyta wasn’t able to sign all that she sent, so it’s only the luck of the draw as to who gets one that EDYTA DID sign.
Thank you for participating in this exchange. we LOOK FORWARD TO hearing from you for a long, long time on our new tqs forum topic:
sottt’s chapter 3 – the sorting & beyond!

Boy have you gals been chattering today! When I checked last at 1a.m.before going to bed we were at page 35 of this chapter. When I finally got back to my computer at 3:30 this afternoon, I had 3 FULL pages of posts to catch up on.
Now to my report update on my HSTs: 280 from 39 states and 5 foreign countries!; nly 16 uhst
(Thanks Lois for the new acronym) so first one of those goes to Jill in NSW, Australia; my GT packet included both a signed Edyta
and a "correct" Margo   ; I have pressed about half open so far but not yet trimmed or decided what to do with the papers; will sort by color when all are open and papers off. I did put up the first 16 or 18 I pressed on my design wall and played with them for a while.
Can't wait to get the rest ready for design time.
Jackie in Texas, where we got a very little rain on Saturday and a mist this a.m.
but not enough to make a difference

I have been living vicariously through TQS for the past few months, and rarely post, but truly hope to change that and get more involved. I am so greatful to say that I received my HST's on Saturday. They are beautiful. I was going to make mountaintops, but thinking now of maybe doing something a little smaller and more comforting for ME! Since I have no natural sisters, it would be great to be able to wrap up in a quilt made of HST's from all my "sisters around the world"! I can not thank Debbie, Clara (got one of your HST's), and all of the sorters, and also Margo (GREAT Tips) enough. Each of you deserves a standing ovation for this monumental task that has brought so much happiness around the world. Thank you all SO MUCH!!
Love, your quilting sister in Michigan, Marlene
P.S. Even though I wasn't a lucky one that got a HST that was signed by Edyta, I hope to see her this summer, and will have her sign it then...Just one of the reasons I'm glad to live in Michigan!

I got my package today! Yeah! I've been reading all the posts, but I didn't realize how emotional I would feel when I actually looked at all the places these HST's came from! Some from very near my hometown, some from places I have visited - and I got quite a few international ones. I only got two of my own back - and I got all five from Ricky, Alex, Edyta, Margo and Clara - sorry to say I didn't get one from Debbie. But thank you all for all your hard work in making this happen.
And Margo, thanks for the great videos - love them!

Bean53, when you want to quote a post, all you have to do is click on the QUOTE box in the upper right corner of the one you want to quote! (It says "reply with quote" when you hover over it.)Originally posted by bean53I notice that some of the posts repeat the post of the person you want to respond to and then show your response - how do you do that?
That text will appear in a new post reply box and you just add your text! If there is just one part that you want to quote, you can delete the extra text....just be sure that the beginning and ending [quote] remains intact.
Easy-Peasy!

Doreen,Originally posted by DElizabethJust got back from Florida. We drove from Ontario, Canada which takes two days. We visit quilt shops that aren't too far off the express way. My husband plans our own 'shop hop' once we reach our resort. We stayed in Daytona this time. Great beach and water. Just loved it! It took 2 hours to get caught up with all the forum posts. Exited so many of you have received your HST. I hope mine arrive tomorrow. I'm so excited!!!
My bio. I'm the mother of 4 sons (lost our first as a newborn) and Grandmother of a 3 1/2 year old Grandson and 6 year old granddaughter. My husband and I have been retired from our day jobs for 3 years. We took early retirement at 55. However, we are both in the Canadian Air Force (part of the reserves) and work with youth aged 12 to 18. I'm the Commanding Officer of our Air Cadet Squadron. Greg is my Training Officer. As a child I lived in Germany for 4 years because my father (Air Force) was transferred there. We traveled a bit while in Germany. I've been quilting about 10 years. I'm almost finished my term as president of the Waterloo County Quilters Guild. It's been fun. Doreen (Delizabeth)
Let me know when you will be in sunny FL again! We can explore quilt shops in Central FL or meet for lunch. I am going to be retired in just a few weeks and am really looking forward to more quilting time! Shirley & I plan to meet when she is in FL in May.
