I can finally join those who can say, "They are here"! I heard the mail come early today and yes, there they were. Haven't counted the states yet but I have 4 HSTs from 3 countries. About 1/4 of mine are unsigned. Your triangles are missing out on the fun! Also got 4 of my own back and that is just fine with me. I like them or I would not have sent them out. There was one surprise. Yesterday "breeze" in Redlands, CA sent a note she had one of my triangles and liked the shops in Calimesa (small city, 2 quilt shops). As I sorted for those from the same people, I found one from her. Oh Happy Day.

Nancy, you need to use the full editor POST REPLY button at bottom right of the forum screen in order to use the smilies. You don't have access to them if you just click on QUICK REPLY in the center of the screen.Originally posted by NancyWMargo - I've tried to get the little smilies onto posts, but can't seem to get them to go. I know you know everything about posting - can you give me some direction, please. My smilie button is turned on, but I only get the code when I try to move one over. Thank in advance!
When you want to insert a smilie, just put your cursor where you want it to appear then click one time on the smilie you want to use. You will see a descriptive word with two colons in your text box.
When you finish writing your text and click SUBMIT your screen will change to show you what has actually been posted on the forum. If you look at it in the forum (not just the full editor box) your smilies will be there! Or you can click on PREVIEW to see it before it's posted. Try it!!

Doing the happy dance. My HSTs are here, but as luck would have it, my workday was extremely busy and I haven't had a chance to do more than open the package. I'm going to do a spreadsheet of the locations and names, if available, to keep a record of where mine came from. Can't wait to get my hands on them and start playing with placement on the design wall.
Thanks to all who played such a huge role in making this happen. Looking forward to seeing everyone's quilt tops.

I'm jealous! We have no mail deliveries here until Wednesday due to the Easter and ANZAC day holidays so no hope of my HSTs arriving before then. But it's been lovely reading everyone's news....and I guess I can work on one of my many UFO's while I'm waiting

How nice to hear from one of our Aussie Sisters...it's been a while! Robyn, I haven't received my HST's yet either, but I'm willing to play with you in the world wide web sandbox of International Sunbonnet Sue's and Overall Ricky's until we do! What would you wear to show me you're from Australia, and what toys would you bring?  I should explain that one of my HST projects has Sue's and Ricky's in it and I want to represent our international sisters as best I can. Margo kindly set up a separate thread called Shirley's Sunbonnet Sue's so you could comment there, if not here. Thanx for any help you give.

My neighbors must think I am crazy! I checked my mail several times today because nothing came. (unusal) I was just
sure the mail person was a sub and was late or something. Remember when we had to send film off to get it develooped? It was exciting to get pictures back from a special event. This feels a lot like that.
I am going to make a pot of special blend coffee and go through mine slowly, to savor the experience. Unless my grandchildren come over. Then, I'll just have to wait some more to see them. lol
To all who helped do this exchange, THANK YOU!
Wish you could come over for coffee too.

Our HSTs came today and they are so beautiful! My daughter and I looked at each and every one and decided that we would combine them and work on a big quilt together and then maybe two small wall hangings for each of our sewing room walls. We chose a pattern from Elsie Campbell's new book called "Love My Stash". The book is titled Squares and Triangles and was brought to our attention as posted in SoTTT's Chapter 2. It's a great book! I ordered it from Ms Campbell's website and she signed it for me! Now, we go on to the pressing and clipping, thanks to Margo for the tutorial! You always make it easier for us! I ordered your book about quilt labels from Amazon and just got that today as well. I want to create a special label for this quilt and am sure to do so with your pointers!
I have said it before but it needs repeating! Thanks to Clara and Debbie for your very hard work and a job well done and to your wonderful sorting buddies too!
Thanks to Alex, Ricky, Edyta and Margo for the "Golden" Squares which will take a prominent place in our quilts as TQS does in our hearts because it is so special to us!
Warmest regards to you all,
Lesley and BethLesley

Okay!!! Happy dance here in Northern California! My HSTs arrived (thanks to my DH for making a special trip to the PO to check...) and I spent 1-1/2 hours petting and looking at them. And that still wasn't enough time to do anything. I only opened about half of them to look at the beautiful fabrics, and I pulled aside a few of our international sisters (Yay for Lotti and ScottishQuilter!). About the only other things that I can report is that the first one I pulled from the bag was from Shirley in Gresham OR (thanks!!!), and I don't think I received any of my own back(!) Good thing I kept one of each to add to my quilt. After I count, etc, I will post more. In the meantime, it is almost 7:30 pm here in California, and I still haven't started dinner
ops: My husband may regret going to the PO today!
