Roine, What is QU..is that your LQS or is it something on-line? I do think I'm going to need some hands-on help because I didn't get much out of the EQ videos.[/quote]
Debbie, QU is Quilt University an online teaching place where all different classes are taught. I have taken 5 or 6 classes with them and think they are very good. Have a look at http://www.quiltuniversity.com you will be amazed how many and varied classes they do.

QU does sound interesting and it's good to hear positive feedback about it. I'll going to check it out for the EQ7 classes...especially if I can take the class on my time schedule.

Hi debbie - I think someone already answered your question about QU. I've taken a few classes on line with them and they've been very good. The have very well known instructors. I learned how to fabric paint! The class was just great and all the instructions were easy to follow with great pictures of what to expect from each process. I learned curved piecing from Michelle Scott years ago. Her class was wonderful. Take a peek at quiltuniversity.com. Next to this site it's one of my favs. The Quilt Show has sooo many little free lessons and so much other info that I don't think any other site can come close to it. I find I visit 4 or 5 times a week. What if I miss something? What if I'd missed the strip and triangle exchanges? Ee Gads!!!!

Hallelujah...as of 15 minutes ago, all of the packages of U.S. HSTs have been put in the mail. All names have been checked off our spreadsheet and they are now in the hands of USPS. I hope they all arrive safely & soundly, and maybe even by Saturday if all goes well!
Now I wonder what I will do with all my extra time? It's been a fun, interesting ride and I have made many new friends, though maybe some will only be through email..it has been priceless and I thank you for all the help, the support, and the EXPERIENCE!!
Clara is working on the International packages, so she can provide an update on what's happening with those.

Oops...I absolutely did not mean that to put pressure at all, Clara!! Of course, if you had everything you needed to finish, you'd have it done by now anyway...so those supply fairies just aren't on your side are they. Hmmm....maybe tomorrow they''ll be landing in to Elgin.

I haven't posted to the forum too much, so I will try to be brief.
First things first, Debbie, a great big THANK YOU for all your trips to the PO. I am still playing the waiting game, but will be even more patient knowing I can play with the HST before the Summer Semester begins. I may not finish piecing the top, but I can have the incentive dangling in front of me as I continue my education.
Clara, you have beed a great gift to us all stepping up to assist with exchange, mere words won't do this thank you note justice.
Here's my bio. Married, mother of 4. I started quilting about 10 years ago when my husband went to the Fire Academy and I needed to destress during the evenings while the kids were in bed. Took me almost two years to get used to him not home through the night. I am mostly self taught, although I have taken a class at the LQS. I am really good at starting quilts and supporting the Quilt Industry.   Never met a nicer bunch of ladies and the variety of backgrounds is amazing! As many of you have mentioned, I also learned through Simply Quilts and several other programs that air on PBS stations. The variety of the hosts personalities compliments the setting of each show amazingly well. I do work full time outside the home, and will begin classes soon to improve my skills at work. I happy to know that while I study my machine won't be unattended
