Has anyone else from Australia sent HST's yet? If so what did you do?

Robyn,
To make arrangements for PayPal, please send a note to Clara Lawrence (screen name: ClaraLawrence). She will provide you with all the information.
We are planning on using the International Flat Rate Postage system to return International packages. I have plenty of those flat rate boxes and envelopes, so it's not necessary for you to include one. However, you will need to include an addressed return label along with a copy of your PayPal receipt. Several packages have been mailed from Australia and New Zealand, but I have not received them yet. The first one I was notified about was mailed on Feb. 4 and I am hoping it arrives soon so we'll have an estimate of how long it will take for other packages.
For all of you who are in Australia or New Zealand, etc., if your HST's are finished, please get them in the mail as soon as you can.

I have kids living in Wellington,New Zealand. Packages from them have arrived in one week and as long as a month. Usually it takes 7 days for a package from here (west Texas) to get to them.Originally posted by NaneeWolfOriginally posted by bennoHi - I don't know if I've missed it in the hundreds (thousands??) of posts but I just wondered how we sisters in Australia should arrange return postage - I know we pay for it thru paypal (thank you so much for that - it makes it much easier!!!) but do we include an envelope for them to be returned in (would envelopes from Australia Post be accepted by US postal service?) or do we just include a label that can be stuck onto one of your global priority envelopes? I sent my hst's from Cairns, Australia on Monday 14th in 2 padded envelopes (1 inside the other for added protection) with a return label inside as I won't know how much my return postage will be by the time the extras are added into it. Mine cost $21 in postage and a further $9 for government international parcel costs. I'm sure Clara will let me know how much it comes to and I will pay it by paypal.
Cheers, Louise

I mailed my HSTs yesterday, Feb 17, 2010. After re-reading (today)
requirements for sending the HSTs, I'm sorry to report that my total count,
485, is not divisible by 28. I included 3 baggies, of which 2 are
divisible by 28, but the third one is not. I'm sorry about this and hope
it doesn't mess up the work you & others will be doing to send back the
same amount of HSTs. If possible (and you want) I can send HSTs to equal
the number divisible by 28 that my third baggie lacked. Also, the PO put a
metered stamp on my return envelope. Again, I hope this doesn't mess things
up. I thought I had read all the messages regarding the requirements for sending,
but I evidently still screwed up several items.
This is my first exchange/swap ever & I know I'll do it again. It was so
much fun & I got carried away finding fabric from my stash & sewing. I
never sewed HSTs before because I was too intimidated, but not any longer!
Again, I'm sorry if I messed things up.
