**A plastic bag containing all your HSTs, clearly labeled with your TQS screen name and the total number of HSTs you are exchanging.
Please keep your total an increment of 28! Squeeze the air out of the plastic bag, but DO NOT ZIP IT CLOSED!
It will save time for the sorters if they don't have to unzip 615 bags!!
Margo this is great visual. THANKS!!!
All I want to add is if the international quilters want to zip their ziplox I'm fine with that. Especially since they have so far to go and you just never know how many hands touch their envelopes. Clara

FluffBall...No problem about zipping or not zipping. And your package has already arrived in great shape!
Thanks,
Debbie

Ok, here are some more interesting numbers for you.Originally posted by NaneeWolfTuesday, Feb. 15 - 117 Packages received containing 41,973 HSTs. We're truly International now...2 from Canada, 2 from the UK and 1 from Finland...and the package from Finland took only a week to arrive!
Average amount of triangles now per/person is 359.
If we took that average and multiplied it by 615.... wanna take a guess so far.... 220,785 HSTs!
Woof. That's a lot of happy quilters out there! Clara

I just mailed my 420 in. Hope I did everything right. She told me that you still have to take them to the post office because the weight is more that you can mail from your home. I figured you know that, but she kept emphasizing that fact. I'm excited!!!

The post office here also emphasized that since 9/11, any package weighing more than 13 oz. must be personally taken to the post office for shipment due to security reasons. OK, Clara and Debbie, have you rented the dump truck yet :?: :?:Originally posted by christinetindellI just mailed my 420 in. Hope I did everything right. Shipping Note to my fellow quilters.
We are going to be planning the sort soon after the due date. If you are one of our international quilters especially in Australia and New Zealand try and get your packages into the mail system by the middle of March. Australia seems to be taking anywhere from 2-3 weeks and Europe about 1-2 weeks. We are still looking at a good month away for most of us to get done what we need to do.
Thanks. Clara

If any of you have your HST's read to go, it would be cool 8) to go ahead and get them in the mail whenever you can. I picked up 50  packages on Monday (the people at the P.O. Service said I should have driven my SEMI that day) and then 20 more yesterday and today. Since it takes a while to open the packages, put the HSTs and return envelope into a large Ziplock bag (numbered with your count & your name/screen name) and record them on my spreadsheet, I have absolutely no problem with you sending them as soon as they're ready.Originally posted by ClaraLawrenceShipping Note to my fellow quilters.

It is taking a while for the packages to get here from Australia. On Feb. 4, I received my first notification that a package had been mailed from New Zealand . Today is the 16th and it hasn't arrived yet...but hopefully soon!
We're almost at the 50K mark in receiving HSTs...49,076 in 138 packages...and we're not even 1/3 of the way there! Thanks for your generosity in including HSTs for Queensland and Norway, too. That 'stash' is starting to grow and I know that Louise and Hanne-Grete will really appreciate them
Bummer for me
...since the HSTs are still folded, I can't see what most of the fabrics look like, but I can see there is a huge variety of prints, colors, and batiks. What's really fun  is that I CAN get a 'sneak peek' at one side of some of the batiks since they're double sided...and they are looking luscious!

Dear Roseanne & SoTT’s;
Roseanne, loved the Dancing Queen Video! That is the first time I have seen it as I have never seen the movie. Boy, I would love to do that dance with a bunch of quilters in Europe somewhere! Go sorters! Wish I could be there to help! Hopefully I will be done with my HST’s next week & will get them mailed as soon as I am done ! Meanwhile I am day dreaming about all the different possible designs I might do when I get all the HST’s back. I’ll be excited to see everyone’s different quilts!
