I am posting the rules again...

The rules for this exchange are simple as no sewing is involved.

      1. The strips must be quilt shop quality batik with no obvious right or wrong side of the fabric.
      2. All strips must be 1 1/2" wide and approximately 22" long. This will allow you to use fat quarters or cut a full width of fabric strip in half. This size will work with all of the quilts in Edyta's Friendship Strips and Scraps book - if you want to make a pattern using 1 1/4" wide strips you can cut them down.
      3. Minimum of 25 strips and a maximum of 200.
      4. NO more than 10 strips of the same fabric
      5. Fold the strips in 4ths, sort the strips by color and put the total # of strips and your Name and email address on the bags. I will let you know when they have arrived.
      6. You must sign up by February 28th.
      7. The strips are due to me by April 30th. I will let you know when I start sorting and when the packages are back in the mail.
      8. Include a self addressed envelope with the same postage on it that you used to send the strips to me.
      9. Send me an email and I will send you my address.

      Happy Stripping,

OK, count me in! I rec'd two of Edyta's books yesterday (ordered from Connecting Threads earlier in week, 40% off....thanks to someone on the Forum who mentioned it!) and found several patterns that really appeal to me....I'll probably make her Spools quilt with this exchange! April seems so far away, but know it will be here in the blink of an eye...Nancy

Count me in also. I'm ready to send in my triangles now so aside from finishing a couple of quilts I've been working on I have nothing to do. I'm not sure yet how many I'll be sending in but I'll let you know when I'm ready to mail them. This is all just so much fun. I read every post to see what everyone else has to say. What fun to get to "know" you all!

The batik strips we are trading are for the spools in her book - as well as for all of the other patterns in Friendship Strips and Scraps.

Just a curious query to help formulate a variation, as I don't have any of Edyta's book, and they are unlikely to be available in my local library, here in the UK any time soon. And my 'splurge fund' for books like this is currently depleated.

Edyta's pattern for the spools quilt calls for the "thread" portion to be cut 3-1/2" x 4-1/2"

Hi everyone, please add me to the strip exchange. I know I have a blind spot for some colors that I just would never consider putting in a quilt. Having help from all of you pulls me out of my comfort zone and gives me more choices. Looking forward to seeing all the colors.
