That's very helpful info, thanks! I've done about 300 so far, so it looks like I will be able to get to 615 fairly easily.

        Florence

Florence - please remember that 615 is not divisible ito increments of 28...and we are requesting increments of 28 for sorting purposes.

        Thanks,
        Debbie

I signed up for this group, and maybe the other one "Friendship Traveling Triangles". My question is this a merge of both groups?
A lot of people signed up without indicating how many triangles they were going to be sending/swaping. Do you have a feel for how many you are going to get? I signed up for 10 sheets, but would like to do more as it is so easy to do. May I do more at this point in the swap?
I have decided on a project and will need 640 scrappy HSTs and more that are not scrappy... boy that is a lot of HSTs, so glad it is easy to make them and now to swap them too. Thank you to the organizers.... you are in for a lot of mail and many more HSTs....

Typical, I went to get the HST from local shop, and they don't have them, and now it is a snowy mix for the next couple days before I can check the other shop. Due to get up to and inch of ice with this storm. Maybe I'll just make my own with graph paper and a printer. Don't worry, I'll remember the spacing for cutting and check for accuracy before sending. Don't get excited, I did say MAYBE....

Cheryl, you can just print out your own from this web site: http://www.quiltingandwhatnot.ca/Hal...-Triangle.html
Be sure to choose the 2" finished size.

And please make sure that your paper is easy to remove! THANKS!

Now is the time for us to enjoy working on our HST and wonder what they will become and share on each other's excitement on what there's will become. I just have to make up my mind on what fabric I'm going to use for the darks. Humm. Clara
Are you going to use the same fabrics for all of your HSTs?

                  ConnieJean
Probably not, but then again I haven't made up my mind. I was even thinking if it warmed up a couple of days I would dye some fabric just for this occasion. (Don't forget I live in Texas. We were in the 70s on Sunday and today it is 30.) Clara

Welcome to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Triangle Exchange. I think we are the only Traveling Triangle Exchange. There is some new ones popping up that are more specific fabrics and I believe one is searching for a name. No need to worry about telling us how many you are sending in. We basically will see when they come in. Besides with this exchange getting so big a lot of quilters have changed their mind and have gone to a higher number in hopes of getting one from each person. Hope this answers your question. Clara

For each pair of fabrics I have used to make the HSTs are different... I have made 10 sheets so far and have used 10 different lights and 10 different darks.
I hope this fits in with the swap as I thought it would add more variety than if I made 10 sheets with the same light and same dark fabrics.
Glad to see some guy quilters joining in.

I was glad to see the picture in the newsletter too. I labeled all of my triangles before sewing. I thought it would work better than writing after the fabric was attached. I am using a pencil because I was afraid the ink would bleed.

I have completed about 300 HST's so far. They are gorgeous. I get a lot of satisfaction looking at my rows of perfectly sized HST's. They are so pretty I don't want to part with them! but I will!
This is one cool technique. I am so glad to be a participant.
