Not necessary. The strips won't do anything for us. I appreciate, but there is no need to do the extra work. Just be clear with the number on the outside of your baggie how many is inside so we can give you the same number back. Thanks.

Some have been talking about including extra HST for Australia's flood victims. If you do that, please mark on that baggie clear (big) and we will put that in a box with all the others for Australia. Thanks. Clara

          Hi all

I started cutting my fabrics. The more I cut the more excited I get. I mixed some of my other cotton fabrics with the batiks. Plan to buy more batiks tomorrow after I leave church.
Can't wait to see all the wonderful HST everyone is making.

Good grief - I'm hooked/ For those of you who may not have watched show #802 - it's well worth the price of subscription. Edyta gives very clear guidance and the examples are wonderful - I have to up my number! Don't know if I'll do all 25 sheets but I'll need to exceed 300 to make my dream quilt....

            Happy sewing,

I agree, I need to up my 280 number. Is that okay? I can't imagine the sorting job but too far away to help. It will be sooo exciting to recieve such a great package.

I have thought of this but more from me sending in multiple lots.
If each sheet is 28 HST - could this be how you do your exchange. If each of us puts one complete set of these in a small baggie - labeled with our name etc you would then sort 28 sets and re-pack them into the baggie. If we have labeled that baggie then you know who to send it to. You follow this procedure until you have swapped out all of the 28 HST baggies. The only issue will be at the end if you do not have the total divisible by 28. But I guess at the last few you could be a bit more creative.
Doing it this way you would only need a surface big enough to take 28 sets at any one time - I think this is how it could work.

Using the triangle paper to make the HSTs is such a breeze. I'm so glad someone developed them. The accuracy is wonderful and they are so speedy. They will probably be my method of choice when I use my machine to make these. I also love to hand piece, so I will be using another method for those.

                  Have a wonderful day sewing,

That would be a great system if everyone was trading 28 HSTs, but there are more than a few of us who are sending (and hope to receive) one for each participant in the exchange. :?

Debbie and Clara may be looking for a firing squad for us before this is over!

Margo, that was my initial though too! But then I realized that if, say 150 of us, send in 615 or more (hoping to get back one HST from each participant) the math doesn't work if Doris, Mary and Enda (and many other fictitious names) only send in 46, 74, or 102. Each of us will be missing a few participants, I am sure. Sad, but understandable, as we are all sending in a different number of HST.

Yes, but if we request that everyone sends in 615 HSTs, Debbie and Clara will abandon ship for sure!! LOL!!!

Oh my! That would be a sad, SAD thing! I will be happy with what ever I receive! And, cherish every one of them! (I'm going for 615)

Kudos to the volunteers! It has turned out to be a huge undertaking and I'm sure they will do a wonderful job distributing all those little treasures. The most IMPORTANT thing to me is to receive triangles from ALL of the countries represented. It'll be a wonderful conversation piece.

I am with you Shirley I so appreciate the volunteers and will cherish each triangle I receive. I am adding triangles for the Australian flood victims and something for our organizers to buy a stiff drink afterwards. Margo if they are drunk they won't order the firing squad. I hope this will be filmed by TQS they started it. Good Luck SOTTs. Joan
