By now, I'll bet you're wondering what you've gotten yourself into! I hope you've cleared a place in that extra bedroom to use as shipping central. I know it will be fun for you when the pretties start arriving. Then will come the task of sending them to their new homes. Those of us on this end only have to send one package and then wait for the fun to begin. I really appreciate you doing this. Once again, quilters rule (with an acryilic ruler, of course)!

Thank you very much. We will add you to our list of helpers. The sorting day will be in April, but not before everything comes in. Will let you know when that event comes closer.Originally posted by DawnEClara and Debbie,
I live in Beaumont, TX and would be happy to drive over and help out with the sorting if needed. It would be worth it.....
Just let me know.

Today when I was reviewing guidelines and also ordering my paper for the triangles, I noticed a reference that some people may have signed up under the wrong subject. I thought I had sent a comment to the Sisterhood of Traveling Triangles. I am planning to participate but didn't find my comment in your pages 24-26 Jan.

Here is the big number you have been waiting for. We have 615 quilters involved in this exchange. Can you believe it?!
Here is more numbers on the countries involved. 66 Quilters joining us from USA, Canada (22), UK (6), Ireland (1), Scotland (1), Finland (1), Norway (1), the Netherlands (2), Australia (27), Panama (1), South Korea (1), New Zealand (1), Germany (1) and now Switzerland (1).
The numbers for the all the countries do not add up. If you add up the numbers of the quilters from each country is adds to only 132. Am I missing a number here. Possibly the number of the USA quilters is wrong.

66 is the number of participants NOT from the US, so the US # would be 549. Easy to read it otherwise tho'.Originally posted by bodaquiltsThe numbers for the all the countries do not add up. It does sound like you will have a bevy of helpers to do the sorting and mailing. Wish I lived closer, sounds like a fun time! Now, I just need to win the book and then I will have some idea of what I will be doing (have found one pattern I like and got it sketched out, so can start on the components while waiting for the HST's to come!) Would like to avoid another UFO on the already long list! I am going to try to make almost 600 of the critters!! I know my sanity will be questioned, but using a screen name protects my true identity from the "guys in the white coats". BBG

I got my papers today! That was super quick! I ordered from Laundry Basket Quilts on Saturday and recieved papers on Thursday here in Finland (in Europe right next to Sweden... )
Fabrics are on their way to me also, so soon I can get sewing!
Thank You djane for instruction (on page 63 on this thread) on using Usps Ship-n-Click for International return postage! I managed to create account for me, and played a bit on creating a label to return envelope. I think only problem was choosing mailing date. There was only four options: today or three days from today. And you had to pick one of those. I could not find option to leave mailing date open. Otherwise, I could have just payed and printed the label.

Hey Quilt Sisters, I just thot of an easy way to identify "every" triangle so we know where they all came from. I don't know about you, but I have a "bazillion" self-adhesive "free" address labels that were sent from charities who want a donation...and they "fit perfectly" into the triangle space! Some might need a little trim, but hey...no writing involved...and it's all legible!
Big bear hugs to Edyta, Alex, Ricky, the TQS staff, and all of you participants! This is going to be so much phun, I think I've died and gone to heaven!!! This is a wonderful, extraordinary example of how the Internet can be used for positive communication among people from various cultures to connect and share a common love they have such as quiltmaking. The caring, sharing, creative thinking, and giving is fantastic, and I personally am deliriously happy to be a part of this world wide web project!
Sharing in your passion for quilting, I'm Shirley Forster, 395 SW 6th St, Gresham, Oregon, USA.

Could the first person to find out how many HST's will pack into the small flat rate box, please sing out and let us know, as this would help us international members to try and sort out the cheapest way of arranging to pay for the postage, as the latest I have heard is that it could cost us about £28 - about $45 which is seriously ouch for a $13.95 stamp
I am wondering if it might be possible to combine parcels here in the UK to reduce the cost to/from USA?
