Just some information for the Aussies - I checked with Australia Post and received the following reply - "To enable an overseas recipient to return a letter without paying postage you will need to send an International Reply Coupon. These can be purchased at most Post Offices and cost $3.10 each. They enable the address to post back a small international letter (no more than 50g) by being exchanged at their local Post Office. There is no International reply service for articles over 50g. In this case it may be recommended to send a Western Union Money Transfer.
You can find information relating to Western union Transfers here: http://auspost.com.au/personal/overseas.html"
50g is about 2 ounces....so it looks like International Reply Coupons may not work?? Maybe we could try what someone (Debbie I think?) suggested a few pages ago - creating a mailing label at http://www.usps.com & paying for it by credit card...otherwise just take the risk and include some cash to cover the return postage (???)

the Post office I went to in Melbourne suggested that you purchase between AU$20-$25 worth of coupons for about 500g and enclose them with your triangles and address label. Debbie, Clara and team have said that they will get the American boxes and take them with your address label attached and use your coupons to post them back. The Australian post office did suggest that you pre order them as they do not keep that many in stock.

Ding Ding Ding Ding.......... The Deadline is up for signing up for this Sisterhood of the Traveling Triangle Exchange.
Sorry, but at sometime we have to say stop signing up or we will have to have everyone fly to Texas, rent the Houston Astrodome just to sort triangles. What a fantastic response!!!
Here is the big number you have been waiting for. We have 615 quilters involved in this exchange. Can you believe it?!
Here is more numbers on the countries involved. 66 Quilters joining us! Quilters from USA, Canada (22), UK (6), Ireland (1), Scotland (1), Finland (1), Norway (1), the Netherlands (2), Australia (27), Panama (1), South Korea (1), New Zealand (1), Germany (1) and now Switzerland (1).
Wow! Clara

How fantastic!!!!!! :P I too wished I lived closer to help with the sorting and distribution. I know you probably do not have an accurate count on the HSTs yet but reading some of the blogs I am guessing you might be receiving over 150,000 HSTs. Now thats a lot of triangles. The post office in Katy, TX is going to get to know you very well over the next month. They will probably have to put all the deliveries in a big mail bag for you. This would make a wonderful story for The Quilt Life!!!!! It would be fun to read about it and I am sure other quilters that are not in the exchange would enjoy it too. I bet you guys had no idea it would grow like this. It is just wonderful. I wonder.... Maybe we made a guiness world record for the biggest HST exchange? What a hoot!!!!! It is going to be so fun to see the quilts, clothing, bags, craft items, etc. that will be made with these HSTs. Yep, it is a New Day, Every Day!!!!

Wow 67 pages of comments and this is the 998 comment. Who is going to be the 1000th :?:
What a response form something so simple. Thanks to the ladies who took the organising on. Perhaps a bigger task than you first thought. Maybe you will be sick of HST by the time you have re-distributed them. :!:
Good luck with it all.
Nan
PS I have already signed up

I cannot believe the number of participants involved in this exchange, 615 total, right??? I am sooo thankful that I am a member of The Quilt Show and saw Edyta Sitar on one of their videos. She really impressed me, such a kind and humble person---otherwise I would not be exchanging HST. Thank you, thank you everyone, especially the ladies who will be doing the SORTING!!! What a tremendous but fun undertaking. Mona80
