Praying the results will be better next time. It's been 5 years this month since I had my last surgery. It took 3 times to get it all. They thought they had it after 2 but the oncologist wanted to take another look and after 2 radiation treatments sent me for an MRI which resulted in another surgery. Praying your doctors will be as thorough with your treatments. For me the radiation was just an inconvenience. Hoping it is the same for you. Waiting on test results is the hardest part. Positive thoughts going your way.

Annis, Good to hear from someone who has "been there, done that". I was confused about what precancerous cells in the margins meant. I don't know but I am thinking this protcol has been designed to not do more than is absolutely necessary but at the same time making sure what's necessary has been done. Any way it is a tedious and very difficult process. We will patiently and continuously offer our prayers for continued healing and healthy recovery.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. Also like Lois said, thanks Annis for sharing your experience with us. Is so encouraging to know that there are people like you that have overcome this disease, specially after finding out that a 3 year old and a middle age lady that I met while having treatment just passed away in the last couple of weeks. I'm very thankful for the medical team that's helping me. I'd rather have them be sure everything is taking care of than have a comeback later on for something that got overlooked.
I'm at the surgery center waiting to have surgery and it is so good to read all your words of encouragement and support. Thank you for being with me during this hard time. Love and blessing and have a wonderful week!

Finally got the biopsy results from the second surgery back. Not what we wanted or expected to hear. More DCIS or pre-cancerous cells found. Just a few spots but still not clear.
So the search for information and resources to determine if a mastectomy would be necessary got started. I requested to my doctor to get a third opinion from Dr. Lagios, in Sn Francisco. He's a pathologist, expert in DCIS. Also requested the Aurora RODEO MRI, highly accurate and useful imaging tool, especially for DCIS. Since none of what's been found on the biopsies has shown in the prior regular MRIs and PET/SCAN, and we don't know for sure if there's more of the same and where. Will have to go to California or any of the other 35 states where this is available and get approval from insurance but, won't make a decision until I got all the facts.
In the meantime I'll keep Naturophatic treatments, more research and praying for either spontaneous remission or the right information and help to make the best informed decision.
Thank you again for your support and prayers. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Love n blessings

Oh, Limbania! I'm so sorry!! I hope that the other scans get approved by your insurance and that they are able to pinpoint everything for you! It sounds like you are on top of everything. Remember that information is power, so keep learning as much as you can. We will always be here with you to give you whatever support we can!

Limbania, you have really been a trooper through this long ordeal, and I know you will continue to handle it with the love and support of your biological family and your TQS family. Will continue to pray for the day you will get the "all clear" message!
