I just saw a pretty simple Dove that would work well in applique.

Beautiful! I have to say I love the dove the most. Since I have spent many days in Boston, I'm sure they will love it too.

Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm very pleased on how it turned out. I ended up with a very simple design on background fabric and fabric markers for freehand letters and drawing. Yellow and blue are the color for Boston that's why I used those colors but thought the word love needed to be red. I really wanted to send this flag but I've been having issues with my middle, index and thumb fingers on both hands. Pain, extra sensitivity, pins and needles, numbness, on both nails and fingertips so anything I do with my hands is hard to do and awkward too. I also have bruise like marks on those fingernail and have to stay away from hot water and anything that might make my finger nails come off. Oh, the niceties of chemo... Anyways, I managed to got it done, and mailed it out today.

Oh Limbania, that sounds so awful. I am amazed that you were able to make the flag. Please take care of yourself. Love and best wishes from across the ocean, Rita.

Looking on the positive side - it gets you out of doing the washing up  But honestly, for folks that like working with their hands, it sound like it SUCKS! I hope it all calms down for you soon.
