    You never know.........

You never know what'll happen, and the effect that small and quite unimportant decisions can have. Here is what recently happened to me.

When I sorted out my late mother's affairs a few years ago, I came across a small fabric bag that she had obviously made herself, used, and washed several times. No idea what she had used it for, and of no use for me at the time. My son Chris wanted to throw it out at the time, but I stopped him and wrapped up a small vase in it when we packed up breakable things to move them from Germany to England. Back here I just folded it up and popped in the bottom of a drawer with other bags, thinking 'I'm never going to use this'.

Well, my 2-year-old granddaughter, Eva, got a lot of small plastic tins, boxes, pieces of fruit, vegetables, etc for Christmas and has been playing 'shop' all the time since then. Just one problem: Normal bags are too big to for her to put the shopping in. So now she very happily uses her great-grandmother's little bag. It's rather special, right!
