I grabbed this design when she first posted it - last week? - and thought that it would make a wonderful quilt pattern, am considering enlarging it to bed sized, but need to have a play to give it some corners. It is rather magnificent.

I do love her website. Sometimes I just look at it as eye candy and know if I ever want to look at it again, I'll know where to find it. My Mom taught me to embroider when I was 13 or 14. Pillowcases with swans and flowers!

I haven't embroidered in over 40 years but this year I was with my grandsons and to keep them busy had them draw pictures and I would make a quilt for them with some of the pictures. My grandson that was in first grade was easy, I could applique the pictures, but my grandson in preschool only drew stick figures so I went on youtube to learn how to embroider. I was amazed a how relaxing it was to embroider again. Now to get the quilts finished this Christmas
